Trivela Group Takeover

Huw Jenkins has a quid or two, they’ll be fine.

This from the Villa Website:

“Aston Villa Women’s current home for the 23/24 season, the Poundland Bescot Stadium is also home to Walsall FC and has been for 94 years.”

I must be older than I thought…

Coincidentally, that was also the last time we got promoted.

C***s

We clearly haven’t been at Bescot for 94 years.

We started playing at Hilary Street in 1896 which was renamed Fellows Park in 1930. So that must be where they got the 94 years from. :man_facepalming:

Nice of them to give us some recognition, don’t you think?

Fair play to villa for mentioning us
Good exposure to the club for there fans , many of whom probably never heard of us

They must’ve meant to say it’s 94 years since Villa have beaten us in either a league or cup game.

It actually is 94 years since they managed that feat!

As fans we’re always going to be a little over sensitive about such things aren’t we. It’s the “also” bit that grates a little, makes it sound like we ground share with them

I just don’t understand why they need claret directions around the ground with a Villa badge on it when there’s enough signs to tell you where to go.
And if they don’t think there’s enough signs then get some permanent signs up that aren’t claret that the actual home fans of Walsall can use if needed.

Trivela are performing miracles at this club, and something is happening.

The feel good factor is back and the Locker is buzzing.
