Uncs has signed a one-year deal.
Wonderful news. A fantastic role model to other players. I’ll also add when I said hello to various players over last season he was far and away the friendliest and most welcoming.
Used poorly for the most part last season. Never a Wing Back and certainly not a Striker. Shined when he was played in his actual position, attacking midfield or out wide.
Worry is that he has another year on him and that we don’t play a system that accommodates him. No questioning his ability though.
Agreed. Tore many a new arsehole.
Share the same worries as you though mate in respect to how he’ll be used.
Squad number 38 this season?
Listed as a forward in the article.
Yeah, he’s not one. Pretty clearly a winger, maybe an attacking mid at a push.
Great news in my opinion if we don’t play him as a striker
please no not again …
The best crosses last season were delivered by Uncs, and a good amount of goals scored from them.
Got to hope MS has learnt, surely if the majority of the fan base can see the players best position …
Welcome back Uncle Albert
If we only have one up front then I think uncle is great just behind in attacking midfield. He can do a job as a striker but far from his best position.
Great news - thanks Uncs
The popular and experienced forward is thrilled to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium.
Great news, happy to have him here for another season.
Great player, but I share others’ concerns about how he will be utilised.
Only need Matt to sign now and our forward line is complete
As I said.
Not entirely sure what job that is.
He did have decent games up front as well as bad. I don’t think he should play up front unless there’s an emergency is my point. Very pleased we have kept them, good player with the most infectious smile I’ve seen.
Great news. Use him out wide please Mr Sadler.
Early announcement so hopeful of getting another one done later today.
Big agree. Hopefully the manager changes soon enough once the season starts going and the next one goes to 4-2-3-1 and then he can be effective weekly in that formation. We saw it for 15 minutes in the play offs.
Stick him upfront and I walk the f*ck out.
And a good few top managers have seen him as a out and out winger they all have a lot to learn from Sadler.
