After the Only Fools and Horses video introduction yesterday I think we should be calling Dave…Rodney
Combination of things IN MY OPINION
I dont think he’s particularly sharp at moment……may or may not be to do with pre season but I was always wary of him coming back and expecting similar numbers.
Draper isn’t doing him any favours. He tends to be playing a little bit of an insular role rather than a partnership.
Also I do think he’s dropping too deep and that’s not helped by is not playing with a 10 and instead having a holding player and two CMs.
Did you go to Crewe? I thought Draper and DJ worked well together in that game. Last week not quite so good but in my view a partnership is developing nicely.
I agree, they are building an understanding. It is almost like Wright and Buckley!
I thought DJ looked sharp in most of the games but not so much against Grimsby. In the first of our penalty appeals, he had two chances to go forward: first, he sim[ply missed the original pass from Gordon and then he had a heavy touch (which luckily fell for Tierney) whereas he might have gone on to shoot.
A goal today and he will be as right as rain.
Can’t make the game today so Everton Andy is going to the game, a keen student of the game he is sure to give me a fair and objective analysis of our performance and where we’re at currently.
When I awoke this morning and looked out of the window there were two magpies on our orangery which has got to be a sign surely?? 3-0 to the Super Saddlers and banishing many of the doom mongers doubts.
I’d be surprised if we don’t win today. If we can produce anything like we did against Crewe it’s a banker, anything like Grimsby and it will be failure.
Just listened to Flynn on 5 live. Puts the style with which he’s getting Swindon playing down to the number of skillful players he inherited there. Didn’t mention us but I’m guessing that our hoofball might have been due to…
… imagine my shock
Yes KingCrod, it’s a sign your man servant didn’t rid the Orangery of pesky Magpies, it’s either that or you’ve left your crown jewels on display again…(no pun intended )
One for sorrow, two for twice the sorrow…
Showing he shouldn’t have ever been responsible for the recruitment of players surely … didn’t they say something like that at Newport too over the players he recruited?
Im hoping DJ can get on the score sheet today build his confidence up.
Oh so if we play well you wouldn’t be surprised if we win and if we play poorly you won’t be?
Incredibly insightful that one pal
Me to….
What is that lineup🤦♂️
Wow.
DJ on the bench and Matt starts!
Not surprised by this at all.
DJ not been himself and Colchester have several injuries at CB - missing Dallison, Lawrence and Kellehar only just back from injury.
We can’t say Sadler isn’t brave. Come the end of the game we will know whether it was brave or stupid though
