In the YouTube video he said he was hoping to be involved tomorrow. I’m guessing he signed this morning… Did the interviews and then it took the media guys a while to get it all ready for an announcement.

Im going for a colchester win 3.1 with walsall winning until the 71st minute, then saddler will bring on his defensive changes, and its all backs to the with colchester breaking us down. Regarding cheering we havent an exciting season to cheer, and looks to me like were still in a relegation battle again. Just my view.
Interesting that Colchester sold their best player last night at 11pm 
They may have thought that they didn’t need him today

Our XG is the same as Donny and they are a shambles at the moment.

DJ had two outstanding chances at 0-0 v Grimsby which for a player of his ability, who’s fully fit and sharp, should’ve amounted to tap ins, both of which his touch let him down and the chance went begging.

Do you think that Sadlers way of playing with the front 2 working the press very hard is blunting DJ’s threat or is it just a matter of him making up fitness from a disrupted pre season?
I’m not sure he or our other strikers are getting enough service again.
I think he doing far to much running the wrong side of the half way line and then as our midfield drops back most of it is wasted running as opposition can play it around him.
It means when we do get the ball back DJ has to run 40 yards to get in the position he needs to be in and by then the opposition defence and midfield are already set.

I don’t think the current set up is there to get the best out of DJ.
For me, the formation doesn’t help. I think DJ would look far more effective if he was playing for crosses into the box, and had someone like Hutch in the 10 role.

Surprised you’d drop Draper Thanatos.
Yep. He’s a kid. Doesn’t need to play every game. That, and I personally think the team would be better off with Oteh in it - would give it a lot more balance.
Draper to come on for the last 20 mins would be a nightmare for the defenders.

Oteh definitely looks more comfortable playing wider, he even drifts out really wide often when playing in a two up top.
To me playing 3 at the back has crippled us. I don’t think our signings have been that bad but it restricts the options we have. I have no badges to give this any weight, just an observation from a paying supporter.
