W 1-0 vs Crewe Alexandra (H) – Boxing Day, 15:00pm (League Two)

8 points for me

That will be a good return. I doubt we will do that well. They are all tough games for different reasons .I think we might get 5 or 6 and maybe 7 points at best.

8 points for me and no defeats

Is this one going to be on the box as it’s not a Saturday?

Yes it will be available to watch on sky

They are like the Sloppies in the regard that we always take more to them than they bring to us - they won’t bring a thousand.

I saw some Nott’s County fans taking the piss cos we “only” took 1500 to their place. In 40 odd years following Walsall I can’t ever remember them bringing that many.

Not that it really matters, but some fans don’t half get their knickers in a twist over it.

Another club who despite decent home attendances dont travel in that great a number. Didnt they bring less than a thousand here last season

Was a night game last season, to be fair.

They never bring a load though.

We were only allocated 1700 too :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

They brought 870 last season. An evening ko is comparable to a sat 1230 ko

If it had been a 3 o’clock game and not on sky we would of took the 1700 allocated

All of our next 6 games will be on TV (the 4 league ones and EFL Trophy at Northampton on Sky Sports+, and the Norwich FA cup game on Discovery+). Our next scheduled non-TV should be Accrington on 24th January as it’s still down a Saturday 3pm kick off - but, as per the separate thread on the subject, in future years such games might also be televised too.

Crowd looking good today.

If you want to sit in the lower or middle you need to get your skates on.

With them bringing around a thousand it could touch 7,500 if there are a few Boxing Day walk ups.

See you there no doubt. :+1:

We need the audience right behind us today thats for sure, atmosphere in recent games has been somewhat flat which I cannot fathom why but hopefully the below records will very much pit thr spectators in the right spirit accompanied by the matchday announcer whipping the lower into its usual frenzy.
