W 1-0 vs Rochdale (H) - League Two - Sat 29th Oct, 3pm

Just hope Evans didn’t get a second yellow in the tunnel.

Hutchinson IS different class to anything in this league and will have the odd indifferent game and other teams will wish they had him

It’s a good point. Just because we can get one, doesn’t mean it would work out.

Over-all 3 point in the bag, but again midfield dissolved after the goal. Monthe passing today was awful yet he defended well. Hutchingson was best midfielder kinsella was poor and got worse after the goal and disappeared completely when comley came on when will fylnn learn there are not working well together. Rochdale were not a good side, but better than soom.

Still feel in terms of strengthening that midfield is our weak spot.

With Labadie to come back, that’s 1 new signing effectively, Riley too but I don’t think he’ll make an impact this season unfortunately

Hutch has impressed but he’s not exactly shining or improving much.

Can’t emphasise enough how we need quality in midfield, not just effort. We sat so deep for the last 20mins today because we couldn’t retain possession - that won’t work against good sides

Ref and linesman were abysmal surprised he didnt send off one of our players today. He the type of referee who needs to go spectsavers

Rochdale were tough to break down and were always a threat. I thought we dug in and worked hard to get the win. This is Division 4; successful teams in this league have to have the abiity to battle it out with their opponents and take the break when it comes. This is what we did today. Relieved to get the 3 points. We can enjoy next Saturdays break from the cut and thrust of league football and who knows? Its the Cup!

I don’t disagree with your points but we also desperately need something better than Andy Williams to come off the bench up front.

I give up with the officials - it’s like they deliberately go looking to make bad decisions.

Kinsella got poleaxed on the centre circle today, no yellow card. Evans got elbowed, yellow card.

Yeh we do. Wilko will help in that respect. He always had 90mins in him, whereas DJ doesn’t seem to

In terms Of DJ I don’t think we should break the bank to sign him.

If our aim is to be L1 in the next 18months we should be aiming higher. Keep him for the season but don’t give him a 3 yr deal

I had forgotten about Wilkinson!

I haven’t seen anyone else mention it so I dunno if it is just me but DJ seems to carry a little too much weight. He is always knackered after an hour. Not gonna knock him, you can’t fault what he has done so far, just an observation.

I didn’t want to say it but glad others have incase I was mistaken
Johnson doesn’t look fit at all, hasn’t kept himself in shape but like cook he is effective.
I do agree though makes me wary for both if we do go up or he becomes inconsistent or gains more weight

Yeh I don’t think he’s a natural athlete, you might say. Good player at this level, but not someone we should be pinning our hopes on for future seasons

If they go down, and judging on today I wouldn’t be remotely surprised, Abraham Odoh might be one to look at. Thought he looked really good when he came in and outright beat Liam Bennett a few times which is no easy feat.

Dont think hes fully fit, always taken off about 70th min

In warm up only one not to warm up with elasticated rope between legs when stretching

Monthe was awful? Absolute colossus at the back along with Daniels

Always surprised me Ethan Ebanks-Landell never been picked up by this club.

Was at W*lves for years and had good higher league experience in recent times. Could be rubbish now but still only 29.
