W 2-0 Harrogate Town (A) – Sat 22nd Nov, 12:30pm (League Two)

Preview to follow shortly…

Team I’d go with

Roberts
Farquharson Flint Weir
Barrett Clarke Comley Lakin Okeke
Matt Kanu
Hornby Browne (Burke if fit) Harper Finnigan Adomah Roofe Pressley

High tempo 1-1 we will have 24 shots with 1 on target

Burke and Comley are “ in contention “ ,according to Sadler, which generally means” has a chance of being on the bench.”

I agree with you, but somehow Sadler will find a space for Warrington.

I’d be surprised if there isn’t a pitch inspection in the morning. Its been absolutely freezing up here all week. It reckons 6 degrees by lunch time but that will be the warmest its been for a few days I think.

Hopefully get back to winning ways so the minor blip of 4 points in 5 games doesnt begin to turn into last seasons slump

Sadler extremely bullish about us in his pre match comments. Acknowledges what a tough game tomorrow will be and that it wasn’t like isnl last week. Expect us to bounce back with a comfortable victory, don’t think they will be able to handle Sadball if we’re on our game and Sadler said it’s been a great week onnthe training pitch and the group are in rude health.

Will have 6/7 tomorrow as they had 3 on international duty last week.

Hints and tips below for the 500+ in the travelling audience…

Harrogate Town

The Exercise Stadium - Harrogate Town Stadium

Capacity:5,000 (Seated 2,000)

Club Nickname:The Sulphurites

Year Opened:1920

Pitch Size:100 x 66m

Address:Wetherby Road, Harrogate, HG2 7SA

Phone:01423 210600

Pitch Type:Grass

Matches at the Exercise Stadium are strictly segregated. Away spectators are housed on the Wetherby Road side of the ground, in the Envirovent Stand. This stand is a covered terrace that runs for around two-thirds of the length of the pitch. It is comprised of six steps, and its low roof means that away can make themselves heard. It has a capacity of 700.

On one side of this stand is a small covered seated stand that comprises 150 seats, which is also given to away fans. On the other side of the Envirovent Stand, towards the home end, is an open standing area. Although these covered areas are free of supporting pillars, there are the bases of floodlight pylons present.

One of the highlights of visiting the Exercise Stadium is the catering, which is now provided by Mr D’s Pie Machine. As the name would suggest, pies are a specialty with a nice range available on the away fans’ menu, pies include meat, vegetable, cheese and cream. If you do not fancy a pie, the Exercise Stadium still has you covered in the away end, with several hot dogs available as well as the “Clean Sheet” Burger (£8), the “Gaffer” Burger, the “Eeeez-eh Cheese-eh” Boss Burger (£8.80) and the intriguing “Beef” Burger (£8.30), providing more options across the board than most grounds around the country, including the Premier League.

Harrogate Town AFC chants

Harrogate are renowned for a small but passionate fanbase, some chants you may hear include:

We are f******g Harrogate Town

Come on Harrogate !

We love you Harrogate !

Wetherby is a f******g s********e

Public Houses for Away Spectators

There are many pubs to check out if you are looking for a place where you can grab a drink near the Exercise Stadium. A Clubhouse named Nineteen Nineteen Bar inside the stadium is recommended. The pub’s name commemorates the year Harrogate Town was founded. However, it is mostly an ideal place for members of the home audience. Away Spectators strictly wearing no colours of their chosen team may be admitted at the discretion of the front staff.

Other pubs include The Woodlands, a hugely popular family chain pub with a generous food menu and cash bar facility and Winter Gardens, a superbly appointed modern pub with snacks including crisps and nuts and lager including Carling Black Label.

A statement that puts the fear into fans of Walsall.

Yes. It’s extremely normal to have a subs bench of 3. I’d imagine it’s indicative more of the lack of depth in their squad.

It will be a goal by some bloke who hasn’t scored a goal for 7 years as well.

Plus they don’t have an academy

Silly me - forgot that 3 subs named on a bench is completely normal.

They’d have been one short even with the three on international duty. Did they get injuries after the deadline for requesting a postponement? Or are they low on subs regularly?

We are due a change in fortunes but after being easily beaten last week it could be another loss.
