As I say, DJT wheeled out as the pre-match interviewee in the Stadium Suite - meaning he’s not in today’s squad despite starting last Saturday, and coming on as sub on Tuesday. That has got to be MF still not knowing what his best team is on the pitch than any paper shuffling in the back office.

Yes of course I totally agree but the short termism of Walsall FC for the last couple of decades means we build teams around loan players and youngsters who invariably leave us in January and ultimately ends in failure

If I’ve got to the ground early enough I’ve watched the warm up where they takes shots at one of the moveable goals. My life the finishing is abysmal, not one of them looks like a natural or even comfortable finisher.

Back in more optimistic times I always felt we were ‘due to give someone a hiding’ during bad runs. Not sure that has happened since we walloped Bristol Rovers by 5 or 6 when Smith took over.
