Anyone planning to get the train to the match tonight - due to a burst water main no services are passing through Walsall this morning. Currently Birmingham trains are going to and from Tame Bridge only, with bus replacement services from there to Rugeley.
The service may be more normal by this evening, but West Midlands Railway say they are expecting disruption until the end of the day.
It wasn’t against Coventry, and they made that announcement about it not being open after games any more, so will they bother tonight when they’re expecting a smaller crowd?
The next round could see us face Villa, Wolves, Albion, Blues, Newcastle or Everton. Obviously we need a lucky draw for that but it should be an incentive. I’d expect to see some changes but will be disappointed if we make a lot and lose.
Would probably of gone tonight with the new wave of optimism sweeping over the place ( cup games ) …buts it’s my birthday and had the day off work and been for a few drinks and a lovely meal at The Nelson in Burntwood with Mrs R&W
