That was a good read (if you have a rather large pinch of salt with you!)![]()
I’m quite worried about this game now as Barnet seem to be a football team that ‘pass the ball’! ![]()
I’ve seen worse places. Fishermead and the Lakes Estate in MK for example. ![]()
We stopped off at Harrow after the Wembley game.
There is a pub on the high street called The Three Wishes which is an Irish bar. There were a few regulars in there who were QPR fans and were asking about Albert Adomah. Great place for an after game drink before heading home.
Did it? I didn’t get that impression at all. I think we will see him and Hollman playing bigger roles as the season progresses.
From the NotebookLM summary:
That seems to me that he is saying that he prefers other players to Maher at the moment, but wants to give him playing time every week, and my deduction from that is that he will be sending him on loan.
Why the hell did he give him a new contract? He’s on injury alert as soon as he steps on the pitch, what a waste of a wage.
Well my take on that is not the same. I took it that Maher’s time on the pitch will be monitored and that we will see more of him as the season goes on. He obviously rates Maher highly(contrary to view of some on here) and is proud of the way the lad is developing.
He is a good player. He is getting fitter and I think the risk is worth taking. Flint will not play every game.
Apparently he was fit enough to play on our last game of the season, and now months later he’s still not fit enough to command a place in the team.
3 years in. Really shrewd.
Lets hope it is worth the risk. He played 2 1/2 games last season and hasn’t managed to play more than 50% of games in any season so far
He is a good experienced CB and ideal cover for Flint in my view. Our other CBs are very inexperienced so a second experienced CB is useful.
Well I am sure the club took expert medical advice before offering him a deal. I hope the risk comes off as I think he is a good player at this level.
No point in being experienced ( experienced by age not appearances) if you’re always injured. Every time he plays ( a rare event I know) you’re just waiting for him to limp off.
As I’m sure they did when we signed him originally, and he’s been on the shelf for most of it.
We’ve had CBs in the past where I have winced when they have had the ball at their feet, I think PF is the first CB we’ve had where I wince when he gets into anything other than walking pace ![]()
Didn’t look fit to me looked slow looked scared to death when players turned him .had to foul them .bit Dave like at the moment in that respect what’s he been doing pre season ?
775 sold so far, tickets available on the day.
David Okagbue has 30% more experience of full-time mens football (by minutes played) than Farq, which is unbelievable really.
We won’t go up with the squad as it is currently- not enough quality in midfield and attack! If Sadler is satisfied, then I think he needs a re-think. If we lose to Barnet and Grimsby, then Trivela will need a re-think!!
Amazing stat! I can’t believe a professional footballer can’t prevent some of the muscle injuries that PF has experienced, through a better-focused training regime. He shouldn’t have missed so many games!
