If only we could have got Flynn on board before Taylor went on his rampage of 7 defeats on the trot, you could see from Wilkinson’s body language that they were not playing for Taylor, great bloke but very poor manager.
Three points, safety confirmed (maybe not mathematically, but teams below won’t win enough games to move higher) and some good signs for the future. Job well done.
We’ve got our Walsall back
Fantastic result - we’ll done the lads, coaches and those who turned up to watch.
Looking forward to next season!
When did we last come back from a goal down? Enjoyable game and an enjoyable commentary with Darren Byfield doing a pretty good job.
When did we last win on a Tuesday night??
Really enjoyed watching that. That defeat at Scunthorpe seems as if it were in a different universe. . We were really trying to make positive things happen. Continue like this then next season we will be real contenders.
Wilkinson completely unplayable, he will take some stopping next season!
What a shame we couldn’t of had Flynn from the start of the season. A proper manager who gets the most out of the players at his disposal, we haven’t had that since Smith.
We worked our socks off for that victory, all 10 outfielders deserved the MoM award.
We pressed and pressed and literally ran Oldham off the pitch.
What a difference Flynn has made since he’s been here, 14 points from 7 games is promotion material.
Monthe was an absolute colossus at the back today, he’s a lot quicker than one expects for a man of his size and very cool under pressure.
Daniels didn’t put a foot wrong either.
We all have to be pleased with what we’re seeing on the pitch. They’re Taylor’s players, but a totally different team under Flynn.
Two teams each with a new manager, both playing a high tempo. But, in the end, we were better than them. The players are doing what Taylor said they should do - taking risks - but Taylor could not get them to do it.
Lots of great performances: Earing and Monthe as well as Shade, Wilkinson and Osadebe. Osadebe scored a cracker, made the second, and also set up Miller early on as well as putting in the cross for Labadie to miss. He has his faults but he does make stuff happen.

.
Everton Andy was hugely impressed, said our shape in and out of play was a joy to behold at times and the audience while small in size was supportive in nature. He said it was a thoroughly deserved win and next season could be a special one for us with a couple of key additions in the summer.
Exciting times under Micky Flynn’s Saddlers revolution.
Nuff said.
Absolutely superb tonight.
Every single one of them put in a real shift in and to come from behind aswell against a half decent side, that shows how far we’ve come in such a short space of time.
Im extremely excited for next season now.
Ridiculous performance, we look like a football team ffs. Bring back Frank Sibley. We need to get back to being crap so we can all moan! But seriously that was another match we wouldn’t of won earlier this season. The Flynn effect has been phenomenal and long may it continue. Totally transformed this team. Good luck to Oldham, proper club with proper fans and a decent turn out for a Tuesday night considering the position they’re in. Better than the 50 odd Salford bring. Going to Harrogate Saturday has some novelty value as it’s a new ground. But proper clubs like Oldham going out the league to join other proper clubs like Notts Co, Stockport, Wrexham, Chesterfield etc whilst the likes of Harrogate, Sutton etc are in the league is a joke. Anyway we won. Walsall ay we
Flynn is going to be something special isn’t he? May have just pulled off our best signing in many a year
Gives off a slightly happier Richard money vibe
Exciting stuff
I thought Wilco’s was going to be disallowed for off side, it looked close. Cracking game and another double. This is all I’ve asked for a good game and we got it tonight.
