I’m expecting 10+ minutes added in each half due to water breaks
A word of warning for Saddlers fans travelling tomorrow.
The unseasonable heatwave which again seems to be the result of climate change and has resulted in abject misery for many millions of Britons looks set to carry on for tomorrow at least. I’d advise all travelling spectators to stay well hydrated and bring a bottle of water with them and to apply plenty of sunscreen as well as avoiding the direct sun if at all possible between 12 and 6.
Hope you’ve been looking after those servants as well as your concern for fellow saddlers
As I said in previous post . Im more than likely going tomorrow. But if there is no shortage of tickets and no price increase. I as im sure many more will pay on the day.
Does kingcrod drink water or just champagne?
Watching on iFollow in the cool with a fan like a sensible person lol
I am sure plenty of fluids will be taken on board.
Thank you for this guidance KC. Much appreciated.
Could you clarify whether the bottles of water and sunscreen you handily suggest we bring are permitted into the ground?
Also, if the hot weather is as a result of climate change would the advice not be better thought through if you were to suggest people bring re-usable vessels for liquids rather than perpetuate the climate crisis you mention through using one-off plastic bottles?
With that in mind, are the Salford City Football Club ground regulations different for flasks or the like than they would be for say plastic bottles of water?
If people bring plastic bottles can the lids be on?
I worry that members of the audience who fall foul of ground regulations by following you super advice may cause hold ups at the turnstiles which on a hot day may result in health and safety issues that in the absence of your advice may have been avoided.
I look forward to your clarification in early course.
But dont get so “hydrated” as to fall asleep in The Star Inn after a sub two hour toodle up the M6 would be my advice based on previous experience of this fixture
A point is certainly a good result from this, always struggle up there v whatever wide players they have on 5k a week.
Thought Salford had a decent start but they’re actually below in the table. Think it will be 2-1 defeat though. Hope I’m wrong as ever.
Is this a piss-take? Was it climate change in September 1989 when it was just as hot as it is now? My advice is don’t bother with the water, get tanked up and enjoy the game.
Don’t forget alcohol is not hydrating!!
Only buy tap water from the bar or at a push orange squash
I’d be very happy with 4 points from the next two games.Big danger is Matt Smith he absolutely terrorised Leeds in the cup recently so Daniels and the others will have to keep him quiet especially from set pieces.
Exactly, alcohol dehydrates you and with such incredibly hot and unseasonable temperatures forecast spectators should act over an abundance of caution. All premises must legally provide tap water if asked.
You’ve only just realised?
Calm down Chris whitty
Looking forward to travelling in luxury with PT Travel. Taking Lutfi my new Ukrainian guest for his first Saddlers match, poor sod . Started explaining to him last night why Salford are a fake club, im sure he will get the message after sitting in a car with me and PT for a while.
We have got to win away at some point, hopefully it will be today
Wouldn’t you just love to smack that annoying little t**t…
Keep him quiet and we win the game.
I fully expect us to concede a soft goal from a set piece (like most weeks) though…
I love DJ but I’m not sure that I’d start him in this heat. I’d guarantee him at least 30 minutes and tell him that he is very important to my game plan. Given that we won the last game and that Jama is a more physical presence, I think it’s fair enough to start an unchanged team (with the bench changed to accommodate Hussey). At the risk of sounding like hypocrite Southgate, I might be tempted to add Hussey for Allen into the first eleven for his knowledge of the dark arts.
Not possible with Gordon away.
