It’s clear that without Matt we have little presence up front. With him struggling for the last 20 we couldn’t press home our advantage.
Faal the obvious replacement for him, I’d have thought.
Foulkes was decent first half but his defensive short-comings were highlighted second 45.
I would have given Allen or even Stirk MOTM ahead of L. Gordon.
Great finish by Faal. Definite echoes of Adebayo, him creating something from nothing with a clean strike at the last knockings when he’s looked out of the game.
The season remains interesting.

Poor performance i thought but happy we got the 3 points they overan us in midfield at times i thought that was the main issue today.

A good win. Felt we became too passive in midfield until Stirk came on, but we improved in the last 25. Salford a decent football team too concentrated on whinging and theatrics.

Offensively we are poorly managed. By Sadler and Trivella.
The whole Draper scenario was as short sighted as DJ last season and for the same situation to manifest itself two seasons a row is shameful by Trivella.
Now Trivella kind of corrected this by making sure we have options that most other L2 clubs would love.
But Sadler doesn’t know what the best option or partnership is. Truth is the wage of Matt and DJ combined, or Gordon and Oteh combined would pay for one top notch L2 striker who can play the way Sadler wants. But we’ve ended up
With 4/5 half options. Or options that can’t put a run of appearances in.
A striker is the focul point to how we set up. But it’s just not clicking as we can’t get any consistency in selection or performance since Draper.

Good result, poor performance. Not control over the midfield the entire game.
Tierney anonymous (not been convinced by him at all in his time here) and Foulkes was poor. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him take on a man.
Back three were good again, and Comley my MotM, very assured.
Will struggle to get playoffs with the players we have available.

I think the fact that he didn’t go like for like initially didn’t help because he could of brought DJ on then instead Of DJT certainly didn’t help

Never lost faith in Faal for a second …
I didn’t think it was a good performance at all, and I also think the manager got himself in a mess with the bizarre decision to bring DJT on rather than Johnson, which ended up with him playing right wing back (and nearly costing us a goal at one point with a challenge he shouldn’t never have to make because he should never be playing that position) when he corrected the fact he left his best striker on the bench again.
But the main thing is the points. Good play all round for the goal, from Smith to Gordon to Hutchinson to Matt. Comley has been worth the hype I’ve heard since he got into the team. Another man of the match for Liam Gordon. Foulkes is raw but it’s so much better having an actual Wing Back there rather than for my money our best centre half in Adegboyega (discounting a made of cardboard Farquharson).
A win we needed and got.
Also the forced atmosphere and wwe entrance was full on bizarre.

Great win really considering we were outplayed for large parts of the game. Dug in and scrapped a winner. 433 to go for the win in the last ten went down a treat.
Midfield absolutely laughable again though, need some big Investment in that area next season.
Pleased for Faal, he actually couldn’t do anytjing right until the goal. He’s absolutely Shit housed it like a proper geezer.

Quite clearly it was 
Poor first half from midfield forward. Better in second half especially after Stirk came on . A draw would probably have been fair but we have drawn matches we should have won Anyone else think Smith culpable for the goal . Centre was very close to the goal .
