I thought it was Salford rugby team we were playing.
What a shock. The blokes a massive bell end so all the sweeter. He must have forgotten what a celebration looks like because of his shit team and boring fans.
A dozen might’ve been pushing it tbf either way there was a bit of back and forth with us and their fans. With a few more joining in for future games it will definitely get better.
Not many (if any) comments about Adegboyega today. I thought he had a decent game again. He is going to be some footballer.
Great to beat that charlatan lard, as always.
I believe it is, Salford did the double over us last season. and we have the chance to do the double over Tranmere and Doncaster.
We are relying on Crawley slipping up. Yes could over take some of the other Teams if we win games in hand. That’s a big IF. It’s Crawleys to lose
I’d happily have the away end as the perm home end, far superior acoustics
Chuck away fans on the side
So they were " excellent." We weren’t but still won. Overall ,I’d take that. Not every week, but at the moment anyway.
The funny thing about the DJ situation is its not just the fans that hype it up, the announcer also hypes it up with his DJ…Danny…Johnson announcements. That must wind Sadler up big time.
Thought Salford made it very hard for us and controlled more of the game than us. I thought we struggled to find any rhythm but we kept going and trying and probing. There was some some good link play but too little today. They had a great chance which was missed by Lund and could have made for a different outcome had it gone in. How he missed it I don’t know but as we all know even the best strikers miss sitters. Anyway I’m glad he missed it. Their goal was avoidable had Foulkes, I think it was, not lost possession and had just lumped the ball up field. I couldn’t see who was marking Lund when the ball was crossed for him to score but it looked like Hutchinson? Anyway, it should have been one of the 3 defenders who may have prevented the goal. This was a game we could have lost but credit to the lads, they kept going and got the win. Very pleased for Faal who made the chance and got his reward. I think Eid is 9th April so looking forward to him being able to contribute more with some energy in the tank. 6 games to go and we still have something to play for. Long may it continue…
It is, but they have to play 3 of the top 7 and Sutton and Colchester who’re fighting for survival. I’d say our run in is better than theirs, on paper. Hopefully we can step up over the remaining matches.
There’s no universe where Gordon and Dougie should be choices ahead of DJ.
It’s absolutely insane.
It’s beyond insane. A doug and Gordon partnership that’s gotta be right up there with the worse partnerships in our history
Maybe there would be if you saw them work all week for 36 weeks in a row……
Just like apparently everything Comley does goes unnoticed for a season and a half and suddenly everyone notices it all at once…maybe it’ll be the same with Josh Gordon and DJT……
Tongue in cheek a little but I’m telling you now they do things that actually do go under the radar….
Ha ha ha. Well it’s good that they do all this in noticed work because they certainly don’t score any goals!!!
What was the attendance?
Have a look back to see the last time we scored more goals than this season. It’s a good while.
Lots of players at all levels do lots of work that goes unnoticed. Actually the role of a CF can be far beyond simply saying whether they score goals or not.
I understand entirely that will always be the main focus and ultimately what a forwards judged on but the game has changed massively over the last few years and with it so has the role of a Centre Forward……just ask Arsenal and Jesus / Havertz…or Liverpool who were pretty successful with Firminho up front….
A few years ago Spain ruined the role for everyone by winning the euros (or World Cup) without a forward……I didn’t like it so I’m not a fan but the onset of players like Salah, Messi, Ronaldo and even Henry has changed the role of Centre Forwards….
Our goals have been shared across the squad this season, let alone the starting XI. I’d much rather that, than an over reliance on one player scoring 20 goals per season. They aren’t easy to come by and they don’t stay.
