Some of the cup guys need to be starting this, Foulkes and Tierney certainly.
I think a positive result from this, perhaps not enough for a win but 1-1 feels right to me.

It really wouldn’t
Give me Starship any day!
Sadler isn’t going to change formation. It will be 3-4-1-2. Tuesday’s performance will give him choices.
Expecting tweeks rather than wholesale changes.

That’ll be a change of formation then given that we haven’t been playing with a 10

Tierney on for Hutch after 60 minutes if Hutch’s form doesn’t pick up. Draper on for Oteh at around 70 mins.
Strange to me that people are finding it odd that some people are suggesting Hutch be dropped. Even if he is a really good player, which I think he has the potential to be, and he is currently one of our most important and talented players - if his form isn’t good, drop him and see hope it improves when he comes back in. It would be the same for any player, IMO.
It’s a bit of a Football Manager XI, but I’d like to see a 3-4-2-1 Saturday, with Tierney and Hutchinson operating in free roles behind Johnson. It’s the exact formation Plymouth used last season when winning League One.

Fk me reading high and mighty Stockports forum (yellowboards) they ain’t got anything nice to say about Walsall away
Good away day with various options if you do it right, imo. Any of them reading do a bit of research & don’t just land at the ground and cry when there’s no pubs within walking distance.
Or even on Saturday.
Perhaps that’s why their gate on Saturday looks like a disappointing one, I expected them to fill the away end with their spectators but from what I understand it will only be a shade over half full.
It’s been a long week
So you decided to shorten it by removing Friday
Yeah, looks like a bang average league 2 following, which I’m surprised about given that they were giving it the big one last season about their away followings. Seems they have got bored after just 12 months in the league following over a decade as a non league club. Be interesting to see if their home crowds hold up.
Looked online at their ticket sales and they’re poor. A very average, at best, league 2 following and probably won’t even rank in top 10 away teams to come to the Bescot this season in terms of numbers. Says a lot when you have the likes of Salford, Harrogate, Sutton, FGR etc in the league.
Is he brave enough to do that??. I have my doubts as he’ll try to stop Stockport playing first…he’ll go 352 or 3511. Think he needs to be proactive rather than reactive…which was flynns downfall
Wonder if Farq will be fit
I think we would be foolish to throw the Priest straight in, he’s going to be a massive player for us but no point risking him when he’s touch and go as admitted by Sads in the week. Williams acquitted himself well at Morecambe and McAntee had a wonderful game at Blackburn in defence so no shortage of alternatives.
Haven’t seen any updates re him anyone know the prognosis?
Bless him, let’s hope he doesn’t get caught out with crosses, perhaps he will be nailed on to score, I’m praying he will be fit
For all the ifs, buts, maybes, positives and negatives - we could do with a win here. Just to stop any issues around confidence slipping in, both on the pitch and in the stands.
Very hard to judge on the first two games. I can see a nervy draw but would be amazing to nick it and give us something to build on.
