Same bloke had a weird meltdown because people said the Bromley game would be a dead rubber.
I don’t think he’s a troll. I think he’s got genuine issues.

Said it for a few weeks, but this team with just a couple of tweaks wouldn’t be that far away.
An actual LW, a better midfield and a better RB and we would be higher up the table.
I’m gutted mate

We just have no consistency whatsoever - you genuinely don’t know what sort of performance you are going to get week to week.
Don’t get carried away about today’s performance. Remember, the season is over and these guys were playing for a place (somewhere) next season. Not all will see Walsall as their best option. Regardless, this squad is very limited. Creativity in mid field is lacking, the goalscoring potential is negligible, despite the three today. With a couple of quality forwards Walsall would have scored quite a few more that three. Barrow were one of the poorest teams I’ve seen this season and certainly non-league quality. The score line suggest that we played well. We didn’t. We were still unable to string passes together, play in forward moving triangles and look as though we had a system. This team would, on present form, be challenging only for relegation next season. I also think that, with better players, DB could do quite well.
I think that result puts db right back in contention for the head coach gig permanently.
Christ Almighty. We really love a low bar.
DB has done ok But had nothing to lose .
You don’t lose 0-4 at home to cheltenham and get the job for me though!!!
It is hard to tell who is on a wind up and who isn’t these days.
It’s an easy one to spot that, it’s belt and braces bollox. ![]()

Some highly cryptic words from db around 1:45
“the first 4 games was how we needed to play/wanted to play”
We took 8 points from dbs first four games
“After that we had to change certain things…. Because we were going for the play offs”
“We had to do things we wouldn’t normally do”
We took 1 point from the next 3 games
“And I know in these remaining games we will be back to how we are supposed to”
We won quite easily today ‘going back to how we are supposed to’
I can’t make sense of this. If anyone knows the changes we had to make and the things we wouldn’t normally do because we were going for the play offs, please do speak up.
Sounds like Sadler has given him some coaching in talking rubbish to the press after a game
I didn’t understand him either . I think he is a decent chap but we clearly need new voices around the team. I would go for a complete change in the coaching team.
I would say there’s plenty of consistency away. Hard to beat and have goals in them on the break.
However as point out the home form has been a disgrace for six months pretty much. Even under Byfield it has been a 96th minute winner v Newport, messing up lead in game to awful Gillingham and then the Cheltenham humiliation.
Not much value in the season ticket this season from October really and just shows the need to sign some more technically proficient players for the fourth tier rather than just runners with no clue what to do on the ball.
Worrying, for next season, that Pattison wasn’t available for selection today.
I’m assuming that was due to injury.
He’s gorra gew as well Franksie, failed low level standard coach, he has been part of the failed management for the last few seasons, we have to have better than Byfield, clean sweep required.
Completely agree, we need a much more balanced midfield rather than a collection of players that all do the same thing to varying degrees of success
We also need a manager, head coach, or whatever the term will be next week to be flexible. Although Byfield has played a different system to Sadler, and we’ve occasionally seen a switch in formation when defending a lead, he hasn’t changed from what isn’t working in against the likes of Gillingham and Newport to try and win a game
I don’t want someone to tinker every game the way Darrell Clarke did, but if we could get someone on who can think outside the box once in a while would be a major plus
Watching Lakin today.
He gets in all the right places, but then makes all the wrong decisions.
