W 3-1 vs Bromley (H) – Sat 29th Nov, 3pm (League Two)

Two nice results on the trot ,We say this is an awful division all the time and it is but God it’s a tough place to get out of , so many clubs are so closely matched and yet we’re still top and have been for a while (except when we let Swindon lead for a week) so we must be good crap , as opposed to crap crap.

A said a couple of weeks ago, how we bounce back was more important than the Colchester result and thankfully we have shone the light

The March to 82 points is still on .

For me I think yesterday showed that Comley needs to start games and Clarke has more of an impact from the bench right now.

Sadler wants work rate, effort and sheer hard graft above everything else. Regardless of whether you agree with that - it’s an approach that has seen us in the top 3 of the division for a season and a half so I for one am happy to go along with it. Sawyers is a free agent - so clearly not one of the 92 league clubs thinks he’s worth a gamble right now.

Minor gripe, but have noticed many League Two clubs put extended highlights up for free, but you need a subscription to see ours.

Have you forgotten about Taylor Allen?

A really robust debrief today.

The difference between the first half and second half was light and shade. Comley was quite superb orchestrating from deep midfield. Full credit to Sadler for making the necessary changes at half time, he doesn’t suffer fools gladly and that shows. The aud8ence in the second half really played their part in what was at times a raucous atmosphere.

My Leamore Windows match hero was Chris Kanu. My S&S Steelstock match rating was 9.

We were certainly better when he took the Rolls-Royce off.

Wasn’t his best game was its? Bromley roughed him up and it showed, lack of protection from the referee really didn’t help.

Have you been on the Sherry again ? Chris Kanu !

Why does Flint drag PF away from the fans?

Isn’t that Nwankwos brother?

Possible booking? Get him to concentrate?

Is Taylor Allen any better than Weir though? Both very similar and very good but they both need to play that position with our tactic so only one of them can play.

That’s an old Graham Taylor trick - he did it with Watford and England - I see the logic, but it’s hardly progressive!!

It’s all the rage in the Prem apparently. There was an article about it earlier this season. Possibly either @Andy_Petterson or myself posted about, can’t think on which thread, probably when there were complaints about our style.

PSG notably used the tactic in their run to winning the champions league. It’s not just a long ball tactic.

The idea is that you force the opposition to either play out from the back in a difficult area where a mistake is costly, which is good if you have an excellent pressing set up.

Otherwise, if the opposition decide not to play it long and go direct, usually it’s easy to win that ball and then you go on the attack when you’ve already got their team pinned close to their box.

Need to introduce the lineout .Jamma ,Flint, Pressley were made for it . Need to get Jamie George in .George Ford right back .

He was just way ahead of his time, realised that analytics were the way forward.
