W 3-1 vs Tranmere Rovers (A) - League Two - Sat 6th April, 3pm

My mate is a member there. Played it a few times but in the winter it’s a bog.

I’m playing Estepona in the morning. Forecast is 27 degrees :sunglasses:

I can confirm that it’s blowing a hooley up here.

Will play havoc with our usual possession and precision passing game. :smirk::smirk:

I don’t have high expectations today. We’ve lost that bit of spark we had a for a few weeks.

Tranmere are very hit and miss. Hopefully they, together with a few more of our upcoming opponents hit that mental beach soon.

We always concede away (which isn’t like us apparently) so need to score at least two to win. Can’t see it.

2-0 defeat.

I seriously thought you were inferring you were having a morning on the beer. Didn’t realise it is a golf course!

Where you pre-match? Just got to Clipper

Sat in their version of The Locker which is essentially a tent with a couple of bars and plenty of room. Got a decent football feel with flags, their trust etc.
Wind is horrendous so it will make for an interesting game. Win is all that matters … Be more then happy for one of Faals corner flag shots to catch the wind and hit top corner.

Hoping for a win but a draw seems more likely.
Sadler needs to get the lads up for it.

Why no Jellis in the squad

Stirkley is back!!!

Jellis must be injured. He definitely deserves a place in the squad.

3 out of 11 with any form of attacking brain cells.

Stirk was poor v Salford and Tierney too. Jellis played 90 in behind closed doors on Thursday so I would have put him on the bench. Maybe he has had to go to Tamworth promotion party

Two Norris’s for Tranmere but no Morris

Just curious, but based on what?

Stirk did well when he came on - was a definite improvement on Tierney who had a poor game

Tierney not good recently.

Jellis was tearing it up for Tamworth. Why sign him if he’s not going to play him? May as well kept him at Tamworth.

Didn’t he do well in a behind closed doors match recently too?

Curious as to your inside knowledge of Jellis? You’ve seen him play how many times?

It’s basically the same as Monday, but with Tierney and Stirk swapped around.
After all " don’t change a winning team"

Stirk deserves a chance Tierney has been poor for a while now happy enough with this to start us off.
