W 3-1 vs Tranmere Rovers (A) - League Two - Sat 6th April, 3pm

I like Matt but he’s starting to really struggle physically now isn’t he? Its a shame as he’s been good in the last few months

It’s inevitable he’s just passing through our retirement home .

He’s been immense, unplayable at times. Through that winning streak he was outstanding. It’s a real dilemma for the Summer, he’s not getting any younger and he’s not going to be able to play Saturday/Tuesday relentlessly but as an option in the squad and a real presence in both boxes I think he’s worth another 12 months.

3-2 win Hutchinson with a brace.

I would probably still leave the back three as they are. Jellis could take the Earing role but it would be risky. Oteh at RWB perhaps?

I think that this was the cup game when we lost 3-1 and O’Kelly scored our consolation goal.

Surprised that the game was played but the supporters did well to clear the pitch of snow on the morning of the game.

In the foreground of the photo, you can see a young Howard Webb who had just returned from warm weather training in Dubai. Who would have thought that he’d end up running the rule over 600 referees in the football league…

(The last paragraph is a joke before the UTS mafia come after me!)

It was that game,

Wasn’t a consolation goal for O’Kelly though, we took the lead in the game. Penalty.

This is our most winnable away game of the 3 we have left. That said I’ve got a bad feeling.

Our form hasn’t been great. I think we really miss Earing and Knowles.

Think Jellis should replace Tierney. From what I hear he’s a box to box type and we missed that energy in the midfield against Salford.

Not the end of the world if we lose. Hoping to see DJ get some minutes. Looks like Jamma is a doubt. I like Faal but he shouldn’t be staring for my money.

I think that if you come on and score, there is a strong argument for Faal starting the next game, regardless of Ramadan.

To be optimistic, we’ll win 2-0, Crawley will lose 2-0 to Mansfield and we can recover our goal difference and go above them.

Wimbledon away on the last day of the season is going to be really exciting if we can build on the momentum of a last minute winner on Monday.

The Salford game was a must win and I hope it proves to be the catalyst for continued hope for all of the Saddlers fans (whichever way you look at it - glass half full or glass half empty - we all want success for our football club)!

5 out our last 6 games against Tranmere have ended with the scoreline of 1-0. Tranmere not in the best form but either are we, I’ll say 1-0 Tranmere with the hope I’m wrong.

I’m hopeful of a win tomorrow. 2-0 or 3-1
If we lose I think we are done tbh

I’m trying to cling to hope but I think it’s more leaning to wishful thinking.

At this point i think they are all “cup finals” even in the face of hyperbole. I fancy us to scrap out something like a draw here but we need a win really. But you never know with this walsall side which version of us is going to turn up.

Four points from the next two would be a great return

Would set us up for the big home week very nicely

I agree, 4 points would be excellent in the context of our run in. I think the 3 of them has to come today, given the form of doncaster.

Must win today to keep the dream alive. Everything points to a draw though…

Must not lose. As said elsewhere 4 points from 2 games is essential.

Today will be a battle, the wind will create havoc for both teams, and the football won’t be pretty. Attitude, application and hard work will win the day. Can’t carry any passengers today.
