Chap I work with is a Daggers fan and said the same, he wanted him back, 100% rated him…
Another Wrexham comment - “How is it Walsall are 16th, or whatever - they’ve now beaten us, Stockport County AND Notts”
Love it !!!
The sight of Okagbue running through on goal with 4 players breaking their line was a real sight to see. Well done Allen for following up. A wonderful moment.
Comley motm
That’s one way to celebrate!
We are also asking the same question.
Because we keep losing to crap teams like Morecambe, Sutton and Harrogate!!
So it’s nailed on we’re going to get turned over by Grimsby on Monday right? Do a proper Walsalling
I’m buying one of them scarfs now
Quite a number of our players had their best game of the season today
What a fantastic performance. Great to see Earing get a start and a goal. He really does offer us something different to our other midfield options.
Hopefully this can continue, but in true Walsall fashion I’m not going to get my hopes up too high.
Glad he gobbled his opportunity up and buried his chance
Fantastic performance (watched online) building on a great performance against Crewe (watched in person).
Really strong spine to the team - Draper, Comley, three centre backs (Okubae did well in place of Mcentee) and Smith (one fumble overlooked).
Gordon playing so well down the flank and Knowles had a great game today too.
Throw in Hutchinson and Earing (then obviously Allen!) and lots of greater movement and energy.
Really interesting in both games to see Daniels playing mostly in midfield when we’re in possession. At times he was almost like a left winger. Perhaps this is possible because Farquharson is so strong one on one. We certainly seemed to control the midfield today and Daniels pushing on must play a part in that.
A brilliant game and the best I have seen us play for a long time.
I was hoping to head down the M6 today but myself and wifey both have the Christmas lurgy so had to resort to ifollow but the best tenner I’ve spent on ifollow I think!
Credit to the team for the way they played and battled with the high-flying team. Didn’t give them an inch, pressed and harried, and made it difficult for them.
Thought we defended brilliantly despite Wrexham targeting our right, and maybe at times we looked a bit wobbly there, but the 3 centre halves were immense!
Midfield was another level. Jack Earing, take a bow, not just for the goal but for the performance. That midfield 3 works awesomely together. Whether Sadler would play those three together away from home we’ll have to wait and see, and is open to debate, but tonight, all 3 were fantastic and linked so well.
Draper worked his nuts off as usual, and Matt and DJT did what they needed too. Both should have had a goal tbh with better finishing.
Let’s take this mentality on now into other games. Seriously tempted by Monday, and driving across to Grimsby, if better. UTS!!
Brilliant. That’s the best midfield I’ve seen from us for years. Three players all with distinctive jobs playing to their strengths.
Great game, great atmosphere.
Two really strong performances on the spin.
Comley my MOTM tonight I thought he was superb!
We are now
Bit of luck with the ref because Knowles should have got a red card for the handball and djt should have walked instead of his yellow and Dave was offside when he ran through. However that was the best defence and midfield performance for 6 years and there will not be a better game in this league this season.
If only we could reproduce that week in week out.
You reds
Home form is becoming amazing, a genuine return of Fortress Bescot perhaps?
Great performance but I kept waiting for them to equalize and get the winner in the last minute, but I went to the loo and when I came back we were three one up.
