For most of the Sheppey players this will be the game of their lives. I expect them to be well up for this match, and also to be quite Physical with us.
I have to say though…
Sadler’s been on about front foot football for months now - and if we can’t show it against a side like Sheppey it’s never gonna happen.
Anything other than a win will be unacceptable.
Hope Draper starts as this will make him more likely to stay in Jan (though I’m clutching at straws there I think).
Good luck to the fans who are travelling for this one as it’s a hard place to get to and there’s roadworks.
Is it?
Oteh out for 3 months
Williams out for 6 weeks
McEntee and Draper won’t be fit for this Friday
Normally never go in for predictions with Walsall fc .Gonna stick my neck out here 3-1 Walsall we should be putting teams like this to the “SWORD “
My mates Dad came back from the match and told his Dad they’d won and his Dad belted him for lying.
Taylor Allen centre half
Stop drinking early afternoon.
Is the injury excuse acceptable if we lose this or shouldn’t it matter? Just want to establish the boundaries post 21:30 on Friday just in case
Completely unacceptable to use injuries as an excuse if we lose Friday, Sadler, players and coaching staff should be made to walk back from Sheppie if the unthinkable happens, no ifs or buts, if we lose he has to go.
Agree. No excuses, we have more than enough.
In agreement with many of the above, whilst it’s a cup game and in a one off game in the FA Cup feasibly anything can happen and shocks do occur, defeat on Friday is absolutely unacceptable.
@Mister-sitter @Thanatos you are spot on in your assessment.
A defeat will hit us all for six.
Can’t imagine Stoke will mind us cup tying Okagbue so will be the same line up as at Mansfield. That is good enough to beat Sheppey. Injuries are no excuse for this one. Must win for me.
Let’s hope not. Even with the three loanees available, we only have seventeen fit professionals.
Don’t get giving @RobHarv3y ideas.
This has all the ingredients. The biggest match for ages for the home team, a dodgy pitch, on TV and Walsall struggling to put together a defence.
All we need is for them to have a long throw merchant.
I’m getting lots of good vibes reading the above comments
Seeing some of the teams that play at their level this should be a walk in the artificial park, a chance for the players to show what they can do on national television and come away with a resounding victory. Best odds you can get for a Walsall win is 1/3 mustn’t be many times in our history we get those odds for an away win.
Prediction - Sheppey United 1-0 Walsall
No chips??? What kind of amateur organisation is it that can’t do chips in the food kiosks - oh, hang on.
