He’s way closer to one of those than the other

Job done and a professional performance
Evans looked shaky in the little he had to do and should have got a hand to the goal imo.
Daniels looked a bit shaky first 20 minutes but was the best player on the pitch 2nd half.
Riley gets no better.
DJ would have filled his boots tonight with a boost in his confidence even if he was given 45 minutes.
Overall we dominated a poor team on to round 2 . UTS

As an aside, I’m really pleased for Horsham. Their big weekend was ruined when South Yorkshire Police, insisted their game be played tonight rather than tomorrow, making it it difficult for their fans to get up to Barnsley (strange club, btw). They could have been allowed to play on Sunday but that didn’t work for some reason. Now their fans have a chance to really enjoy the first round.

Is this the first time that we have been the first side to be definitely in the hat for the second round? And if so, does it count as incremental progress?

Timmy and DJT are at very similar levels. Think DJT just edges it.

He wouldn’t score past my office

I could almost see the sense in giving DJT an hour but it was a tragedy DJ didnt get half hour against that lot. Saving him from injury talk is nonsense unless he has a history of injuries, which he doesnt. I think this saga is going to end badly, i hope not. Draper ahead of him yes, DJT nope.

I thought at first glance that said he wouldn’t score past your orifice :flushed:

That was a really poor game. Made up regarding the result, especially after the floor swallowing moment of them taking the lead. There’s something still not right about Walsall FC other than the utterly brilliant fans, and there’s definitely something not right about mat Sadler.

Bit harsh after a professional performance.

It’s not hatred mate.
I just don’t think he’s anywhere near good enough.
Just my opinion.

Hoping for another team from Kent in the next round - we seem to be doing quite well against them!

Bringing him on for injury time feels like taking the piss a bit and he still managed to get two shots off, all be it neither were much good but it felt like he was trying his best to prove a point by scoring in such a brief outing.

I mean DJT was alright tonight and we got the job done easy enough, but the bigger picture doesn’t feel so great with DJ, we don’t have a game for 8 days now, no real reason to leave him out. I agree with you I don’t think it will end well, shame really cos he always feels like a goal threat when he is on the pitch.

Yeah its clear as day why one up front Draper was ahead of him, and personally i think DJT did alright as well, but i think the 1 minute tonight was a joke. Not all is well there.

Did you actually watch the game?

In the end it turned out to be a comfortable victory against a lower league team. Still lots of questions though. Even playing a team at that level the defence in my opinion just is not right. We always look like conceding

First 20 minutes DD looked very uncomfortable.

Gordon partly responsible for the goal then stood around picking fluff from his bum for their chance early second half.

Riley. Oh my days. A traffic cone with a pair of shorts would be more effective at defending.

And Evans!! What the heck was he doing just barging into Daniels, missing the ball and gifting them another chance.

McEntee did nothing to prove he is a central midfielder and Knowles just isnt L2 standard.

Positives:

Stirk controlled the middle of the pitch; Hutch obviously a class above and Tierney worked his socks off and was a constant threat.

If we can bring in a RB and an MOC type for the middle of the pitch we could have a positive second half of the season.

Kudos to ITV for making those highlights look closer than it actually was. They seem to have missed the 10 shots at goal before they scored.
