Evans has chucked a few in this season if i recall correctly.

Difference is Evans was playing at a time when everything that could go against us did, every mistake punished. But like others said Jacko has made a couple and got awat with it big time.

Didnt have Farquharson in defence in front of him as well massively important

Didn’t see the game yesterday so just watched it all on ifollow.
A few observations:

  1. It is so much easier to watch Walsall when you already know the result.
  2. I think 6-1 is more a reflection on how poor Grimsby were than our performance. We were so much better against Wrexham.
  3. Star performances were Priestley, Knowles and Hutchinson.
  4. DJT needs to use his pace more often.

The momentum is with us. Sadler has found a formation that works with the players we have. 3-5-3 with Comley sitting deep and 2 attacking midfielder. If we get injuries we must replace with like for like and not change the formation.

Not sure how we cope without Freddy.

We’ll be odds on favourites by then Belph…:joy:

Nice to see a defender Farquharson chipping in with a goal in the Priestyle

Pretty much where I stand too. After the awful performances at Barrow and Alfreton I was starting to worry - but as you say the last few games give him a lot of credit in the bank.

Just a thought Sid but do you grow parsnips .

Of course… I’m surprised you even need to ask. We had parsnip pie for dinner, bacon and parsnips for breakfast and a fine parsnip wine as a nightcap. I even supply the woman next door with them.

Stupid question really

How much did you pay for it ?

I play in a local quiz league based around the Wakefield area, and last night it was my turn to read the questions. So, knowing the opposition captain was a Grimsby fan I invented my own first question as ā€œWhat was the score on New Years Day at Blundell Park?ā€ I don’t think he was overly amused :joy:
