W 6-1 vs Grimsby Town (A) - League Two - Mon 1st Jan, 3pm

DJ obviously doesn’t chase/press as much as DJT does hence the comment that DJT is “champing at the bit” from Sadler on a couple of occasions now.As is usually the case if you could have DJT’s pressing and DJ’s finishing mixed together into a striker it would one be the perfect striker for how Sadler wants to play and two that player wouldn’t be playing in league two .

Couldn’t you wait for the fish and chips? Or were they the starter?

How about just those in the English pyramid?

Battered and deep fried Mariner. :yum:

I’d play Johnson over DJT every single time, a finisher over a player who offers very little.

Can’t understand it myself.

If anything, a DJT goal today would convince me that we are now in some sort of alternate dimension.

That’s just wrong

Even if he scores a freak goal today, there’s no mileage in it as he just isn’t good enough.

Johnson has proved that he can score goals, it should be priority to give him minutes and get him firing.

I would never treat an employee or colleague like Sadler does with DJ. Shows an obvious weakness in his character.

I’m not advocating that I’d play DJT over DJ by the way I’m just trying to come up with a reason as to why Sadler does it.Lets be honest DJT still hasn’t scored 10 by the Christmas just gone let alone the one before.

Unless you know the full story from both sides you can’t really comment.

If we’re talking the top 4 divisions, I’d say Blackpool again closely followed by Fleetwood. Going into non league Hartlepool must be close.

DJT played well against Wrexham but it was a great occasion, crowd was pumped…players were pumped. Today he has to back that up by contributing against a Grimsby team, without the hype and without the atmosphere. If he doesn’t then DJ will get his chance at half time and then he has to take his chance.

I don’t need to and I can and have. Can you tell me one valid football related reason why Sadler doesn’t pick DJ? If it’s anything else that’s entirely down to Sadler.

Not like Sadler hadn’t had 5/6 months to sort it out.

How complicated can it be?

I went to Gr8 white on the high street. That was lovely as well

Sadler is stubborn and arrogant.

Simple really.

Do they sell Chianti there as well?

No,but I don’t know all the details, neither do you.

One valid football reason that Sadler would give would be that DJT does more pressing and running down the opposition and so fits the tactics that he wants to team to play.

Not that I’m say DJ doesn’t do any running at all, as mentioned in a post on the other thread.
