I wish that they would retime the direct Cannock / Rugeley train by 5 minutes.
I think it was not possible, previously, because it used to connect with northbound trains at Rugeley - it doesn’t now, so five minutes extra would not would disrupt the timetable. The 17:02 has left by the time most of us get to the platform.
Yes might be more profitable now you pay when getting on the bus .years ago there were so crowded poor bus conductor could never get round the bus in time to collect the fares and very rarely got up the top deck .before the bus arrived at Fellows park .
More people should just walk to the game . Plenty who are able live a 30 minute or less walk away who drive
I live In Bentley and walk when it’s not peeing it down
27 quid for 5 of us against Bolton 58 quid against Crewe pay on the day/week whatever people want to call it is expensive.
I think there is a major issue that needs addressing. The block wall about 2 to 3 metres from touch line could be a career ending injury waiting to happen .
We lost our centre half for a few weeks because of it and could have been much
worse.
Don’t know the answer but needs sorting out.
Yes, if I were to modify the ground I would knock down the away end and the family stand and give the pitch a bit more ‘space’ (because as you note players can’t sprint freely around the whole pitch for fear of injury at the sides).
I would then build an away end similar to the Poundland stand and have a very basic stand to replace the family stand (without stanchions, just have it roofless if necessary to start with) which could be expanded as and when it became feasible to do so.
Appreciate this would cost money. I’m just suggesting it.
Missus got us a new cushion.
Not worthy of a thread but some proof that the club does some decent merch at least.
Club wished it was a block wall, its reinforced concrete, probably stop a car like on motorway central reservation.
Took nearly all day to cut the gate for the Villa women to get on pitch.
Scatter cushions - and @Cats was saying we don’t cater for our female fans.
Its obvious @Cats is impressed with the cushions. She’s even photobombed the pic!
GAY!
Seriously though, it’s only mid-November.
What’s with the Xmas cushion.
Its a Walsall cushion Steve…
Just happens to have xmas nonsense on it
Walsall FC is for life, not just Christmas.
Continental convertible?
Looks like you’ve got a case of premature treejaculation going on.
I wish ! If I could afford one of those I’d invest in the club! Get a half and half scarf with my face on
Yeah it’ll be a reinforced wall not shocked how long it took to cut a hole in it … it’s all about loadings … seen the images of the wall collapsing at Fellows Park
Lots of grounds have similar constraints. How Old Trafford gets away with the big run off to their hoardings has always made me wonder.
It’s rare someone hits the wall.
I agree I have long thought that the wall is too close and potentially very dangerous, although there is some protection around the top it’s still not good.
Would a possibility be something like they have on horse racing tracks a collapsible fence or at least something less rigid , really don’t think in this day and age there should be a brick wall in front of fast moving athlete’s the more you think about it the worse it sounds.
