You can’t make this up

It is what it is. Rumours that the club lost a few sponsorship deals last summer so good news on the commercial side.

Expect the club to organise a half-time Battle Royale between a Poundland Quid mascot, Swifty, the big red monopoly piece from Homeserve, and a hungover student from the Gorway campus.

Anybody have any idea what revenue this sort of sponsorship would bring in annually?

Seriously any sponsorship money coming in can only be good for the club (as long as it’s more than a pound ) yeah we know … just wished is was another name that’s all

Happy to take their money. It’s the same colour as anyone else’s, and has less blood on it than some…

It used to have a lot but as with most of their products it has reduced over time.

I suppose as long it is better deal, than previous one, it is good. And always even meagre deal is better, than no deal at all. You can’t be too picky in this league too, but at least always can be said, we bought this player at the Poundland.

Don’t see the issue with this they are a huge multi million company.

I work for Poundland and I’m a season ticket holder. The company are moving the head office from Willenhall to the centre of Walsall next year, so it looks like not only backing the town they are backing our club which I can’t fault.
Sponsorship from big companies is hard to get, this is promising from the commercial team.

Could this have been led by LP with his connection with the supply chain industry etc , if so it can only be a good thing.

A more acceptable sponsorship than some betting companies or payday loan sharks.

I used to think it was amusing when ‘cockney’ West Ham were sponsored by Pony and had it emblazoned on their shirts.
