The demand in the week was a scrappy 1-0 away win and it was duly delievered.
I think the season comes down to this. Nathan Lowe stays the whole season and not just automatic promotion but winning the league is a possibility as heās simply that good at this level to decide tight games like today.
He goes back and I think top 7 will still happen but automatics become touch and go as weāve seen in previous seasons the main CF going mid season has created a downturn in form.
I think with the way the season is generally going there will be a decent backup plan in place if Lowe is recalled.

That win feels very significant. Yes itās just 3 points but after the international break it signals weāre straight back into the groove. Well done lads.
Get another win on Tuesday night and it would add an extra edge to the trip to Vale, not that one is needed. Get a win there and we leapfrog them. How pleasurable would it be to hear two and a half thousand Saddlers belt out āWeāre top of the Leagueā¦ā to our friends from Burslem.

Thatās a brilliant win of the exatct type some of us promotion from the fourth tier veterens were discussing last week. Coming down for Tuesdayās game, unfortunately the 8 foot inter-dimensional lizards are all wintering in a cave in Switzerland, the one inbetween the CERN particlicle collider that they use to ping themselves around the universe when theyāre not busy delivering stuff with me, and the one that contains the entire worldās gold including that lot pilfered by Hitler and the former federal reserve stash.

How much of an improvement have we seen in Jamille Matt too by the way.Looks hungry for football again and looks fitter than he did 9 to 12 months ago.Heās an absolute nightmare to play against and itās more difficult to get the ball to stick up top when heās substituted.

a lot to like, Stirkās work in winning the ball and ultimately retaining possession to start the move, Okagbueās run and cross, Barrettās pass, Mattās block on their defender to enable it to run through to Lowe. Ruthless

Lowe rightly gets the plaudits.
But look at Stirk winning the ball.
Then look closely to see Jamma block the defender. This gives Lowe space. Jamma is having such a big impact. Love the bloke.

Lowe looks every inch a leader of the line now, too; he and Jamma have developed a great understanding and play off each other very well.

Weāre just about to enter a crucial run of games so to go there and take the points off one of our rivals is priceless. This Walsall side will take some stopping if we can maintain our current form.
Itās hard to not get carried away with what weāre seeing even this early in the season.
I was hoping Williams would have been back in the lineup but one thing thatās clear is we have great cover all over the pitch and thatās absolutely vital as we move forward.
