AFC Wimbledon (A) November 23rd, 3pm

Usually like these vlogs and does have some good clips of Simkin. But this guy seems to base his entire personality on swearing so just a warning before viewing.

Seems to have a different view of DD than some on here. WM said all the back 5 were good today!

The demand in the week was a scrappy 1-0 away win and it was duly delievered.

I think the season comes down to this. Nathan Lowe stays the whole season and not just automatic promotion but winning the league is a possibility as heā€™s simply that good at this level to decide tight games like today.

He goes back and I think top 7 will still happen but automatics become touch and go as weā€™ve seen in previous seasons the main CF going mid season has created a downturn in form.

I think with the way the season is generally going there will be a decent backup plan in place if Lowe is recalled.

That win feels very significant. Yes itā€™s just 3 points but after the international break it signals weā€™re straight back into the groove. Well done lads.

Get another win on Tuesday night and it would add an extra edge to the trip to Vale, not that one is needed. Get a win there and we leapfrog them. How pleasurable would it be to hear two and a half thousand Saddlers belt out ā€œWeā€™re top of the Leagueā€¦ā€ to our friends from Burslem.

Still early days but itā€™s looking very good this season. UTS.

Really? Because I think Earing and Hall are better players than him? Moron mate.

Think he was referring to the post you responded too.

Thatā€™s a brilliant win of the exatct type some of us promotion from the fourth tier veterens were discussing last week. Coming down for Tuesdayā€™s game, unfortunately the 8 foot inter-dimensional lizards are all wintering in a cave in Switzerland, the one inbetween the CERN particlicle collider that they use to ping themselves around the universe when theyā€™re not busy delivering stuff with me, and the one that contains the entire worldā€™s gold including that lot pilfered by Hitler and the former federal reserve stash.

Nevermind, just me and the missus. :+1: :+1:

For the all the Stokies reading this forum: Lowe is absolute pants, nowhere near good enough for you. Best you get him off your wage bill and give him a free transfer in January. Weā€™ll take him off your hands for a small fee

How much of an improvement have we seen in Jamille Matt too by the way.Looks hungry for football again and looks fitter than he did 9 to 12 months ago.Heā€™s an absolute nightmare to play against and itā€™s more difficult to get the ball to stick up top when heā€™s substituted.

a lot to like, Stirkā€™s work in winning the ball and ultimately retaining possession to start the move, Okagbueā€™s run and cross, Barrettā€™s pass, Mattā€™s block on their defender to enable it to run through to Lowe. Ruthless

Lowe rightly gets the plaudits.

But look at Stirk winning the ball.

Then look closely to see Jamma block the defender. This gives Lowe space. Jamma is having such a big impact. Love the bloke.

The type of result that you dream of.
A good, all-round display, away to decent opponents.
Thanks for the video of our goal.
Super inversion of roles by Conor Barratt and David Okagbue for the goal.
I thought Big Dave was our MOTM and Daniels fully justified retaining his place.
What to say about Nathan Lowe!? He gets in the right places and scores goals.
Lowe looks every inch a leader of the line now, too; he and Jamma have developed a great understanding and play off each other very well.
A pleasure to watch and another step in the right direction.

Weā€™re just about to enter a crucial run of games so to go there and take the points off one of our rivals is priceless. This Walsall side will take some stopping if we can maintain our current form.
Itā€™s hard to not get carried away with what weā€™re seeing even this early in the season.
I was hoping Williams would have been back in the lineup but one thing thatā€™s clear is we have great cover all over the pitch and thatā€™s absolutely vital as we move forward.
