AFC Wimbledon (N) - League 2 Play-Off Final, Mon 26th May, 3:01 pm

No thanks.

Win or go.

As you say, the playoffs are a gamble. We had no business being in them.

I’m the opposite with bucket hats - I have a bigger than average swede it seems, so find it hard to get a bucket hat that is big enough and fits!! At £20 a pop too, it helped to convince me not to get one. I’ll see what the sellers outside the ground have!

Saw on Twitter that Per Stener who used to post regularly on here is coming with his brother.

Oisin Mcentee apparently in contention for some involvement in the final according to the interview with Mat Sadler

Well the weekend starts now, just putting my weekend clothing on and off to the Wednesbury Spoons for a a few scoops. Then off to the Archer for a boogie, lamp for a curry. Will then head over to Brum to the late night bars, back for the spoons on Saturday for Breakfast. Will then pop down to Met Bar to watch Saturday games, then catch train to London Euston Premier Inn. Few jars around Euston and the boat on the river, then early start at the Rocket Euston monday morning. Glad I took a payday loan as its going to knock a whole in few hundred quid. Wearing black to hide any stains

On the bench instead of DD I’d expect.

Sounds like you’ll be drinking like a fish!

Have a great long weekend and let’s hope we’re all celebrating come Monday evening…

I was in London a couple of weeks ago and stayed around Euston - had a few in the Euston Tap, which I’d recommend as they had a varied selection of ales etc. Some other good pubs etc, as you head down and off Tottenham Court Road towards Soho as well.

Sadly, not the Brie Louise any more.

Our George is chuffed.

Tommy Simkin was in his school today. Not sure if it was an official visit, Tommy used to go to the school. Our George saw him walking past so started singing “Super Tommy Simkin in goal” and Tommy went and had a photo with him.

I asked George what else he said and George said, “not much, he seemed nervous”

Sure he will be alright when the big day comes. He doesn’t seem the nervous type to me.

Probably nervous about speaking in front of people/kids in a school more than the match mate.

How great for him (and Tommy Simkin☺️)

Possibly hadn’t returned a text book when he left the school and was worried he might get called in to see the Headmaster ?

How strict they are at his school I am surprised they didn’t have him in detention for breathing or some other serious none crime.

Yep, he showed me the photo, I said One Saddler’s legend and an on loan goalkeeper, right there

I had a good friend who was a Wimbledon fan - became a shareholder when they started again.
Would have really enjoyed seeing him for a pint on Monday but sadly he died a few years ago.
One of us would have been disappointed but that would not have made any difference.
To me that’s one of the advantages of a lifetime supporting a lower league club. Far more interesting to bump into a Colchester fan etc on holiday than Arsenal etc.
My friend would have been the disappointed one as I’m now convinced we will win!

I’m a tight git and bought a bucket hat off ebay for 7 quid. My noggin is larger than average so hats rarely suit me. Not a good sign but the wife nearly wet herself with laughing
