Colchester (H) - League Two - Sat 28 September, 12.30pm

Another you better Believe it game down at the Bescot

Colchester are no mugs , and will be there or there abouts in a few months time

65 points now to go to the magic 83 and automatic promotion for the Mean Money Ball Machine

18 wins
11 Draws
9 Defeats

We’re 5 points clear of Crewe in 8th and importantly 12 goals to the good over both Crewe and Doncaster

Tuesday night is a biggie , Fleetwood are going to be one of the teams to beat this year , they will be tough to break down but hopefully we can continue this fine run of form in front of a decent Tuesday night crowd.

Believe, the March to 83 is on . Mean Machine

Err are you sure about that, I’m sure we never had the same sort of spirit, camaraderie ,team shape, tactics depth of squad under either of those two . Who in my humble opinion and if you believe the allegations about the reduction in the budget ( load of bollocks but suits the agenda of some on here, who by the way are suddenly noticeable by their absence)had far more to work with than MS .
From what I could see they were both 'managing by intimidation , personally I find the current situation far preferable, and even if it all goes pear shaped at least we are playing some decent football.

Really , there were many occasions under both of those when they hung players out to dry , really don’t think we had a great team spirit under either of them

Those four unanswered goals could make all the difference in our traditional end of season relegation battle…

we have the best goal difference in the whole of the EFL and Prem.

This was my comment pre-Morecambe. Shows how wrong I was and long may it continue. I know it’s a marathon and not a sprint, but our start does make me think positive times are ahead.

Not so long ago we could only dream of seeing a positive GD

A lot to enjoy yesterday, but I’d love to know how many consecutive passes were put together in the build up to the second goal. A real controlled period of possession having struggled to keep it on the park for a stage in the first half, but we learned from it and used the ball so much more effectively after the break and it won us the game.

Really enjoying the energy off the ball and how we hunt in packs out of possession, too - particularly the effort the forwards make to drop and help press. We must be a nightmare to play against at the moment.

Thirty apparently. Someone counted above. Must have sent a shiver down the spine of any manager thinking the way to neutralise us is to surrender possession and force the initiative on us.

Last time I saw a pass like that for the first goal was by Jeff Peron .

18/19 is exactly the reason I can’t get carried away just yet. I’m loving this season so far but I’ll see where we are come Christmas before I make any kind of assessment on us being a promotion chasing team.

It’s going to be some job picking the player of the season if it carries on like this.

Or goal of the season. We had two contenders yesterday.

It’s difficult enough picking a Motm at the moment!

That’s very true and a nice situation to be in isn’t it.

I think the sponsers got it wrong yesterday as i would of given it to either Barrett or Jellis tbh, but then again there we’re a few that could of qualified for it.
