Confidence in Trivela?

Agreed and with LP selling most of his remaining shares he is probably out of the picture. I have posted this before but I firmly believe BB and his associates are firmly in charge.

Would have preferred Realists and Optimists myself

Thats a good point.

I accept things as they are and I am not too dissappointed if they don’t go according to plan. However, I am optimistic in my opinion on future events until they don’t work out and then I am realistic again.

I am never really pessimistic as that is a depressing view to take and without hope where are we? The main problem is when pessimists believe that they are actually realists and criticise anybody who thinks different.

I am a happy person so I just try and avoid pessimists because they try and drag you down.

You sound a good guy to have a pint with .:+1:

I beleive that Trivela have good intentions, but I just struggle to work out what their long-term goal is

I just can’t see how you can make a significant amount of money out of this club unless you are willing to put a serious amount in. Perhaps they were duped by the ‘well-run’ club fable and thought it would be easy to progress with just a little bit extra investment. Maybe they didn’t realise they were buying a club that had been dying a slow death for the last 15 years.

The only motivation I can think is that by demonstrating they can do a good job here they will have a basis to add more clubs to their portfolio?

Very possible. It’s the first thing a lot of people who think they know a bit about lower league football would have said about Walsall. Even if Trivela had looked for what they thought was an independent opinion of the club, it’s likely that the person claiming to be in the know had also swallowed the myth. Clever PR from Bonser, both the phrase itself and getting it so well circulated.

Mood hoovers

Pomlett sourced Trivela. Not Bonser

Plenty to suggest Paul Taylor ‘sourced’ Trivela. If so, he’s very much a Bonser man.

Don’t know why you bother. It’s obvious the clown hadn’t read my reply before he started trying to stir it. But what is interesting is that such a supposedly loyal, longstanding fan doesn’t know that Bonser originated the phrase and got it in general circulation. Or it would be interesting if he were a fan, rather than a troll’s creation .

I thought he was off to watch Rushall this coming season anyway…

He was going to but they haven’t changed their kit enough from last season.

Either for selling the club later, or by pushing the club higher. Or they really want to create a network of clubs, similar to what was created around Man City, but maybe on a lesser scale. Still, one club must be leading. And a serious amount of money? How much did DS get, when he nearly won promotion to the Championship? Money really talks in the first two leagues, before you can compensate for it by youth players, scouting ,medical support and some tactical support. In short, by better decisions.

I believe they have already ‘bought in’ to the way our failed regime have done things over the last few years of ‘dying a slow death’. Nothing has really changed at all, same Board, same 70’s approach, same old lack of ideas, motivation or nous. Introducing our new Manager from within a regime that was a success at inept failure, to be ‘the best possible option’, by god he is going to need to be bloomin good to impress alright!
Come on Trivela show us something different, other than ‘talk’.
We need some ‘really’ good signings (eventually), we need improvements to the stadium, we need new ideas in presentation, commitment to the football team…lets drag ourselves into the 80’s at least!

I’m shocked you would be so pessimistic.
Shocked I tell ya.

To be honest, i dont have much confidence in them - not because I feel they are here for the “asset stripping exercise” thats been banded about.

I just feel its all Pie in the Sky with them. Big talk, little back the majority of it up. Giving titles such as “Global this” and “Global that” out when their portfolio consists of a single L2 club that 95% of the time is submerged by piss from the toilets. Hardly impressive is it?

I think BB knows as little, if not less (if thats possible) as Dame Pomfritte - hence the “mentoring”. Granted, BB doesnt seem to have the ability to spout his mouth and drop the regular verbal clanger, but frankly, it worries me.

Not even gonna mention Mole and Gamble - deadwood that shouldve been out on their arse a while back.

I dont begrudge anyone having a dream about growing their business/portfolio etc but after the last decade in particular - we dont need more cluelessness and jeopardy of our FL status.

All that being said - of course I want BB and Trivela to succeed. I just hope a serious plan is implemented, they can actually regain touch with reality and appoint the right people.
