D 0-0 vs Forest Green Rovers (H) - League Two - Sat 25th Nov, 3pm

As an aside what the hell was that all about
Dj wheeling himself out to take part in the penalty shoot out competition. He seemed to walk back in the tunnel pissing himself laughing

Mocking Sadler possibly.

Anyway. I thought it was bizarre

When a person is appointed to a position he is clearly not suitable for, despite being given numerous opportunities to demonstrate he is capable of adjusting or improving his performance then it is simply not in anyone’s interest to continue his employment unless there is a more suitable position. He’s proved he is not a leader and motivator of men and will never be. IMO

We have to be patient. Trust the process.

Agree, that was very strange.

Especially if you assume the club are aware of the fan feeling around DJ.

And the guy on the mic said something along the lines of ā€œhitting the net is the only thing DJ knows how to doā€. All very bizzare when a load of fans are seething he’s not playing

In less than 6 months!!! If that happened regularly in any field then turnover at companies all over the place would be huge!! I don’t know whether he will be able to lift the team to greater height but I am prepared to give him a proper chance.

I couldn’t beleive it

Sincere condolences. I lost my Dad in 2001 - we had been regulars since he first took me to fellows park aged 8 in 1973. His last game was the play off final v reading at the millennium stadium. I still miss him terribly but i always feel hes watching from up there when we play

I’d be happy to answer this as I enjoy debating with you - we have different opinions but are fair to each other and don’t point score etc.

For me, we sacked managers in previous seasons for producing this level of performance. I saw that as a sign that it is below acceptable.

Surely the hope is that we change manager with a view to improving performance, not maintaining it - otherwise you might as well stick with the old guy.

I feel we have a better group of players this season than some of the others had and for me, show a lot of worrying signs that we won’t turn this around.

I think we have an upper mid table side with plenty of goals in it and for that reason was up for sacking Sadler early to avoid wasting the season. We could have tidied the team up in Jan and had a small chance of playoffs if done well in my opinion.

He comes out with some weird statements when he’s trying to do entertainment, had a dig at the fans in the middle/upper earlier in the season for complaining about the sound system not working, calling them ā€œmoanersā€

It says it all really doesn’t it that we bring a young kid that’s learning the game back from a loan spell at Rushall Olympic and he is one of the best players for us .

Appreciate that. Thank you!

He also broke from his warm up pre game to sign a kids programme then went off the pitch and brought a pair of his boots and gave them to the child and then went back to the warm up

Thank you mate. We may never know each other personally but the Walsall family bonds us all.

Especially when they’ve spent all summer batting down accusations of being negative and told you ā€œdon’t understand footballā€ (by people who would never abuse another poster of course), and are a troll when saying some of our signings are shit, and Sadler might be a good manager one day but this isn’t a job for a novice and I have no confidence in the project, and I reckon this season will go the same (or worse) as previous ones.

Call me vocal. The footballs just as shit, the results are worse and the manager resembles an office junior being put in charge of an aircraft carrier.
