Poor first half improved second half, i thought the game was calling out for DJ in the second half, can only imagine Sadler is having the same issue Clough had with DJ.

Going forward i think we need to be playing 2 strikers in our home games.

I thought Mk Dons were a well drilled side and hard to break down i expect them to be around the play offs come end of season.

Evans Daniels Gordon & Tierney played well, Draper was marked out the game by a superb Mk Dons Backline especially there number 26 he was immense didnt lose a dual all night.

Beat Sutton on Saturday and it will be great return from the 3 games.

Maybe it is time to start singing

Im pleased with a point in the end to be honest.

MK were well drilled and functional and played with the football. In contrast we were more like boisterous puppies running around sticking a foot in and then giving them the ball back for another go.

Evans kept us in the game first half as we conceded so much posession time and time again. The passing really was dreadful - especially from Riley and Gordon.

McEntee and Stirk battled well but neither were capable of controlling the midfield and building passages of play.

First half Hutch was anonymous but better second when he came inside a bit more.

Oteh was lively and i thought Tierney worked his socks off.

Draper didnt really get into the game. Has DJ done a dump on Mat’s pillow or something?

Two starkly contrasting teams. MK played patient football trying to dictate the game whilst we were trying to nick the ball and catch them on the counter.

People talking about Sutton making this run a good one … if we don’t beat Sutton it’s seriously poor and worrying. That won’t change my opinion on todays performance or on Saturdays being a great result.

Thought we were shaky at times, weathered the storm with a bit of luck thrown in, and then we were the better side in the 2nd half, which makes us really odd we didn’t go for the win with the attacking options at our disposal.

Daniels and Evans were superb and we grew into the game after a very lacklustre first half.

It was probably a fair result on the balance of play and in isolation it’s not a terrible point. However, what we’ve struggled with some much since being in League Two is building on results, which we have a great opportunity to do at Sutton.

7 points out of the week will be a cracking return.

I enjoyed it too…I thought it was a good point against a team packed with players who have played at higher levels. They expect to win the League but won’t because they lack a cutting edge. As for substitutions I would have brought Matt and DJ on for Draper and Tierney around the 60 minute mark.
There were some good performances out there…Evans, Daniels , Gordon to name 3 but what was noticeable tonight was the lack of a midfield general…we have some good ,young players in there but their inexperience shows in games like tonight.

Especially with Doug Taylor straining at the leash!

Watched the game on i follow and am delighted with the point which we really do not deserve. MK were better than us. Evans was our man of the match which says it all with at least 3 excellent saves. Daniels was excellent at the back.
I thought their No. 9 who was subbed was very good and their centre half who was marking Draper was superb.
They just seemed to be more organised than us and did play better and more effective football.
We must go for Sutton from the first whistle as their confidence must be low and if we score first we should get the points.
UP THE SADDLERS

Told ya we don’t win on a Tuesday night

How many time have you seen them play to know they’re so awful? In their previous home game before tonight they drew 1-1 at home to MK Dons, previous at home to that they were well beaten by AFC Wimbledon, so two home results very similar to our last two.

It won’t be an easy game and we shouldn’t expect it to be so but if we turn up with the right attitude and play somewhere near our best (certainly a repeat of the Bradford performance) and I think we will win.

Evans made three worldies and they missed a sitter at the end. We had a couple of potshots. No idea how you work that out.

Neither team did enough to win the game hence a draw was probably a fair result :joy:

Really enjoyable game. Well played Walsall against one of the better sides in the division. Draw probably the fair result on balance, but they should have nicked it with that chance at the end.

Well apart from they had the better chances and more of the play, and looked more dangerous, yes.

:man_shrugging:

I’ll leave this here…

We have the lowest possession as of tonight, in league two.
