Debating Walsall's play-off hopes

Updated graphs and stuff usual caveat on errors etc. I think we’ll finish on 70 points and just miss out to Crawley but we’re more than capable on going on a 4/5 match winning run so who knows.

Google sheets put the teams in the centre of the gridline and can’t read the values so taken them off.

Interestingly if you only predict our results and let the calculator predict the others we still get 7th.

That’s true but letting it do ours too and we end up 8th on 69 losing out to Crewe on GD. Has us winning two, losing two and drawing one. Which to be fair is probably more likely than my 311.

Wouldn’t want to play MK in the play offs

Hopefully they finish third and we’d match up against Mansfield instead

They might get overconfident, like we did after beating Vale 5-0.

Wouldn’t be the first team who are play-off final favourites to blow it in the final (no show )

Stockport v Carlisle United wasn’t it look we’re Carlisle are now . Does happen it’s one game .

Sorry yeah I misread it and had Crewe in the play offs ahead of Walsall! :joy: :man_facepalming:

In that circumstances put all 11 behind the ball although would be a very nervous watch. But then that’s what final days are for when there’s something significant at stake e.g. 2004.

Well overdue another. I know 2016 aswell but ultimately that was out of this club’s hands and it was a complete stroll at Vale while Burton did their own parking the bus at Donny and got the draw they needed comfortably.

Dragged over from the Last 8 Games topic. 3 games down and I’m sticking with it!

Is that something that is known or are you just supposing it? Logically, loans you would think would apply until the end of the football financial year, which is the end of June, I think.

Fairly sure the date is June 30th, unless the rules have been changed.

The EFL regulations don’t mention an exact date, but they do say

“subject to the proviso that the duration of a Standard Loan must be the time between two Transfer Windows, Standard Loans can be for half a Season or a full Season;”

And

Season’ means the period of the year commencing on the date of the first League Match and, for each Club, ending immediately after the completion of the Club’s final fixture of the League Competition or, if the Club is participating in the Play-Offs, the final Play-Off match for that Club.

Thanks - that seems unambiguous. In any case, any loan player that had been involved in reaching the play offs would be mightily disappointed not to be able to play in them.

Barrow’s game tonight postponed due to a waterlogged pitch

Any possibility Doncaster’s will be off, long drive for it to be postponed…

Just posted on the match thread, has been sunny here all morning and has just started raining but forecast to stop by 4pm so don’t think it is in danger of being postponed.

Not that they’re realistically in the play-off picture anymore but they certainly aren’t now

Can’t the EFL find something to take points off Crawley, something, anything. Especially from the Steve Evans days as manager with his dodgy dealings

Teams like Crawley are up there on merit, we can only hope they make some costly errors during the next four games, providing of course, we do are part.

If only they had beaten Crewe. Would have been perfect.
