Douglas James-Taylor Signs (Again)

Good point . I think we need another midfielder who can score goals.

So what we’re looking for is a physical box to box player, with pace and can head it, who can spread passes, carry the ball, create chances from nothing, who doesn’t leave us exposed when he bombs forward but who provides some defensive balance……who can score plus 10 goals and plus 10 assists?

All within a league two budget and I presume we want him on a 3 year deal so no one else comes in for him?

Is that too much to ask for?

Of course. We have to be ambitious.

Let’s just hope no one else with a bigger biludget and from a higher league, spots them and recruits them before we do…

Arsenal beat us to him apparently

Surely we have our new data driven all singing and dancing recruitment system in place to identify the player before anyone else does and get in there toot sweet?

Yes and it’s more likely to come up with Dick Van Dyke than Virgil Van Dijk.

Adorable scorable treats!

I wouldn’t have kept him and certainly not have paid a fee for him.

Send him out on loan for a couple of months. We don’t need him with Johnson, Draper, oteh and matt the preferred 4

To be honest if Matt doesn’t start producing something soon I would rather bring DJT on … at least he can still run !

Ha ha. Know what you mean but I’d rather we stick with Matt than djt. That’s how bad I think he is :joy::joy::joy:

I was hoping to see DJT and Matt start for the Brighton game. Could be an unexpectedly good partnership.

Problem would be if it did go well it wouldn’t translate into a league game.

Julie Andrews instead of George Andrews; Citizen Kane instead of Harry; Linda Bellingham instead of Jude; etc…

Why not? They might be the new Toshack and Keegan!!

I’d love it to happen. Our own Crouch and Defoe (Portsmouth)

I feel it must be mindset above technical ability.

More like Saint and Greavsie ( for the older uns. )

For all the Matt haters its the fact that DJT hadnt seized his chance says it all. Weve now got him on a second spell and it obviously aint happening in training either. Bennett here 5 minutes ans staked his claim. Draper here 5 minutes and staked his claim. At least Matt can claim injuries and age for his struggles now because undoubtedly he was once a decent player.
