Douglas James-Taylor Signs (Again)

I heard a rumor and from a very reliable source that he was offered to Rushall Olympic for a month. They don’t want him!!!

What does that tell us if true!!!

You mean you just created that rumour to enhance your opinion of him.

Nope. I was told it by someone where I would say the chances of it being true are very high indeed!

The astro turf would suit his slippers.

Crazy how he’s ended up here again tbh. As someone else said he’s clearly not doing it in training either. The only reason I can think of is that he’s paying us rather than us paying him lol!!!

If you’ve seen any of our games fully this season, you’d know that this is incorrect.

I’ve seen them all yes and I’ll still rather stick with Matt than putting on djt

I’m hoping that a special birthday bash has been organised at Crod mansion, only well heeled gentry will be invited to this top hat and tails soirée. I’m hoping that King Crod will have a party debriefing with the attending audience and that all guests take their party table seats 20 minutes before the grand entrance of the birthday boy, a special birthday award will be presented to the birthday boy donated by Countrywide Bespoke Limited in the form of a fine oak carved gate in the style of agricultural land security with a gold padlock and associated tee hinges, the gate will also be mounted on small gold wheels to enable the recipient to understand the mechanics of movement, this charming bespoke award will be titled “ The travelling gate appreciation society “ A truly fine award to a worthy winner.

I’ve heard the party is to take place in the Crod Undercroft, which is always an easy place to go.

Is he the first striker we’ve had were his age is higher than goals he’s scored in his professional career?

Isn’t that the way with most young strikers who aren’t starters?

I think it’s all of them at the start of their careers.
But I would have expected him to have shown more by this age and at fourth division level.

Why?

Andy Cook didn’t score an EFL goal until he was 29.

DJ didn’t score in the EFL until he was 27 (he’d scored in Scottish Prem the season before - but until then all his goals were in non league)

Macauley Langstaff was still playing in National League north at 24 and didnt score in the EFL until this season (26!)

Littered with examples.

Goalscoring is an art and a skill that the majority of times takes a bit more maturity (physically and mentally) before you really see good outcomes.

Im confused now, arnt they all the complete opposite of all your arguments on the Danny Waldron thread ?

No cos they were all playing at a good level and showing signs at a good level by 24……DW is 27 and at his peak level…and most examples are of players who have tasted full time football dropped out and re-emerged as they matured.

Also I’m primarily talking about how their goal records improved as they matured. Most were playing at a good level as players and finding goals more difficult.

Of course there will always be outliers. Maybe DW is one……but I doubt it

Heard they had a game of pass the parcel but it bounced off him.

I heard that they had to abandon the game of pin the tail on the donkey as it was going dark

Must say when I see DJT reminds a lot of a 20 year old lad we had about 7/8 years ago Jordon Murphy very similar in a lot of ways made a couple of 1st team appearances was a cf but was probably better out wide pretty average ended up in non league we were league 1 those days and better squad then today so he struggled to make first team probably would have had more opportunities in our present squad but still a pretty average player .think a lot of our fans have become conditioned to the drop in quality of players we sign today .
