Okay £90 sorry, which is worse. The main point being, you aren’t guaranteed a space for that money? That is ridiculous.
Wonder how they are selling? know a fair few who have renewed more than last season i would say.
Bonkers if you pay for a pass you should be given a space regardless.
You wouldn’t believe the crap I had mate, I paid for parking ticket for main car park(by club shop) and because of not getting there till 2.50 most weeks as we drank elsewhere it was an ongoing battle to park, I was asked to double park by staff several times which I point blanked refused as I weren’t been held responsible for stopping emergency vehicles getting through.
In the end I’d had enough and after emails to the club most weeks i eventually was given my own spot, their was a piece of paper laminated with my name on that was placed in a coned off space that was removed when I arrived, I kid you not mate they must have been that sick to death of me emailing and confronting staff they did this.
I asked the club why they don’t just number the spaces and allocate a number and was told it was the cost, seriously you couldn’t make it up.
We’ve just been down and renewed our 3 adults, 2 young adults, 1 under 12, only 1 other fan there doing his.
I’d expect sales to be up on last year.
I’ve really got the itch to get one, but I’m going to hold off until my youngest is 4 before committing again. My 7 year old has no interest, but I don’t have the patience to take my younger daughter until she is a little older.
Makes a pleasant change like others have said, wanting to go or purchase, instead of it feeling like groundhog day.
I renewed mine on the phone on Thursday
I emailed SLO about the issues and apparently they are looking at it. I also asked about resurfacing and lighting.
When we played Swindon end of 21/22 season at home I turned up and there was no spaces, I told the guy at the gate I’d paid for mine so why I haven’t I got one is reply was Swindon have brought a lot of directors and other people and we was told to let them on (Swindon were challenging for the play offs) I ended up having to park in the street missing the kick off.
I emailed the club telling them of my disgust and was offered £2.50 (it was £60 a season then) as a refund, I explained to the lady that rang me I do t want my £2.50 back I want a guaranteed space what I’ve paid for in advance, when I suggested they paint numbers in spaces and allocate them I was told it would be too expensive.
I don’t pay to park there anymore I make other arrangements.
Not renewing Simply because I can’t afford it.
It sucks but that’s life sometimes
It cost me about £3,000 to park on the green car park because they have no proper lighting on there, no cctv and not proper marshalling after game. So on a dark, wet and windy December night the other year when someone pranged the front of my car causing over £5k worth of damage there’s no evidence and I have to cop for the excess and increased insurance premiums over the following 5 years(even with protected no claim).
And they want you to pay £90 for that? That’s why I don’t have a pass any more. Safer on the street and more likey to get camera evidence to avoid all that cost.
If you’re going to rip people off for parking, at least have lighting and cameras so you get something for your money.
Just been paid so renewed this morning.
A much more sensible increase this year compared to last so renewed ours over the phone, still works out at a decent price per game in my eyes.
Well I’ve not renewed cos I made the daft decision not to last year, which has cost me a small fortune as we have only missed one home game.
Just signed up for the madness for next season with my two boys. Up The Saddlers.
Also got tickets for MK Dons, and Salford.
Block 5 where we usually go is completely sold out for Salford, which is rare. Block 6 it is for a change.
£400 a year where I sit is scandalous for this level of football under a scheme designed to reward loyal fans for early purchase. I just can’t justify that. Really is poor when you can get cheaper or same price tickets at Championship clubs at full price level compared to our special offer.
Will be picking and choosing, and probably mostly away games next season sadly.
Works out at £21.39 per match for me and my lad.
We paid £24 at Rushall on Saturday.
For a single adult price £400 is a bit eye watering but add kids to the mix (I have 2) then it’s a reasonably priced afternoon for something we are all passionate about.
Yeah. It’s different for everyone. For me that’s outrageous.
The £40 hoick over the last two years is also a bit of a slap in the face, especially if we are going to talk about inflation rates.
It was £445 for me and two boys. one Junior and one under 12, in the cheapest seats available (lower tier behind the goal)
It works out at over £19 a game, where it has been costing me £23 a game this season if purchased before the day of the game. Fair enough I will get back the money for the kids for every game they attend, so it won’t be so bad for the following season. Doesn’t seem that long ago it worked out at £11 a game.
I got one cos it is just daft that we have been to almost every home game, and one of the other advantages is priority for tickets if we get any away games that are high demand. Following football at this level is not cheap now, but then again nothing is.
The big increase over the last 2 seasons is making up for previous seasons where the prices were either frozen or decreased.
Swings and roundabouts.
