Nope. Nice to see you’ve edited the bit about Cyprus and the Cypriot flag/yellow shirt protests out.
Nope. Still there, different post:
Bless
I do apologise. I hadn’t realised you were posting similar stuff repeatedly with slightly differing wording.
Nope again, was a different conversation with somebody else, elaborating on what’s hypocritical about not holding owners to the same standard.
Maybe it chimed with you, I don’t know, or care
Have a nice evening (and maybe check before you call somebody out again for like the 5th time unsuccessfully)
We’re all experts on Walsall FC, aren’t we? We all know what’s going on behind the scenes. We’re all right - even those who aren’t. Even those who think they know what’s best for the club but don’t really.
I love it.
This is what fuels UTS!
So Trivela can blow smoke up their own arses and have their ego’s massaged by everyone there.
I don’t know much about what goes on behind the scenes. I hear things from time to time but don’t take that much notice.
The title of the thread, my expectations for this season as with any other season we are in League 2 is that the club do their best to put a team together to win promotion. Not that there is any guarantee but that they have genuinely put everything into giving us the best chance.
Seems the expectations have dropped over the past 5 years from promotion to the playoffs, or even top ten.
Anyway, it is blatantly obvious what the team requires right now, I really hope the noises from the club are genuine and the “patience” is worthwhile and they come up with the goods, eventually.
Yes. Agreed. My expectation is promotion. And I am coming in with an optimistic view that is based solely on my experience of supporting Walsall for about 50 years.
I know that sounds mad, but that is my heart talking.
If I listen to my brain, that’s probably unrealistic, but that is what supporting any team is about. It’s all guesswork and hope.
You can spot the pessimistic souls here; and the trolls. People who claim to “know” what is going on but really have no clue.
It’s irritating reading crap from Mr Troll (we all know who he is) and slightly less irritating reading posts from people I know are clever, but seem to dissolve when talking about Walsall.
Ups and downs happen. We are in a depressing place but I can see things getting better. Mr Troll says “NOOOOO!!!” but then he will say that, no matter what; that’s how he rolls.
The bottom line is none of us know anything about what is really happening. Some think they do but they don’t.
We will all complain (me included), and it is based on desire rather than knowledge - and that’s the same for all of us - that is unless we have people here who actually work for the club.
Deep down,I expect promotion.
Realistically, I think we’ll scrap around the play-offs, finishing between 7th and 12th, depending on how lucky or not we are in certain games.
And luck plays a part, despite what people say.
We all know the trolls, the pessimists and the optimists.
That’s why UTS is great.
Curiously, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias, as it fell, was, "Oh no, not again! " Many people have speculated that if we knew exactly why the bowl of petunias had thought that we would know a lot more about the nature of the Walsall FC than we do now
Can’t work out if you’re deliberately missing the point to create an argument or if you you’ve missed reading all the repeated explanations about investments on here.
If it’s the former then there is nothing anyone can say because you’ll bang on regardless on your crusade.
If the latter, then I suggest you slow down on your own posting and actually read the facts before carrying on. Nobody has the time or the crayons to repeatedly explain anything to someone who won’t listen.
tl;dr - you’re in the wrong and you’ll never admit it because that’s the way you are.
Or… it’s opinion?
I understand people feeling a little underwhelmed, personally think we’re only a goalscorer away from having a good side but having lost our goals and currently going through pre season with Matt and Gordon, I get it.
That’s because it’s neither. Unless you’re genuinely claiming Drogheda are getting a completely new stadium for no outlay from Trivela whatsoever, which would be a hell of an assumption.
Just because you disagree with me, because of course it’s being critical of the club, that doesn’t mean you have say on what is right and what is wrong.
But hey, I’m pretty sure I was labelled “wrong” early doors when highlighting issues with Pomlett and what he said and or put in place, so perfectly comfortable with that here too.
Yes - it is opinion, based on hope and expectations, but possibly flawed facts. As I said, unless we know for sure what is going on at the club, those “facts” are at best flawed and at worst wrong.
I would be happier with some of the more bizarre posts I’ve read on this and other threads if they came directly (and I mean directly) from the inner sanctum, but, as we often read such “facts” come from speculation and conjecture and then the optimist or pessimist within (or tendency to be a troll) takes over and we see these weird posts.
None of us know for certain.
But, hey, it’s fun and the debates we have where we all think we know better can flourish.
That’s why I read UTS.
But you can only form judgment based on what you see and hear.
There is genuinely very little change on the field, I’d of expected something by now?
I don’t think it’s being unreasonable
It’s almost as though the old board have “mentored” the new one as to how things are done.
@Mazza01 Yes, you’re right about that. But nobody knows what’s going for sure and it’s not too late yet. We may well be negotiating behind the scenes with things not made public yet.
Who knows?
This is my concern, our transfer dealings and timings are identical.
Less than 2 weeks to go, no goal scores and no time to bed one in.
Exactly, and we may not also. Their opinion is just as valid as yours, that’s the point.
The fact some people think Trivela have a pile of cash and each time they take some out for Drogheda it’s a little less available for Walsall blows my mind
Like any other business their “cash” comes from reservicing debt and borrowing, whether that be from investors or loans.
A new stadium will be financed through loans, grants and reinvestment of funds made from the sale of the previous ground / land.
This idea they dipped their hands in their pockets and it’s gonna leave them short of cash to get Walsall a striker is so funny.
The fact they are concentrating on a new venture , is probably the concern… I don’t think people are as stupid as you love to make out
