In the mould of Steve Baines?

I’ve heard that despite sinking a lot of effort into it, he has decided that it was too much of a drain on his time and so he has decided to solder on with his playing, coaching and managerial careers. He also confirmed that he’s not ready for his pipe and slippers just yet.

Really pleased that not only our club but others have been able to tap in to his ability, he was great at plugging holes in the defence, but sometimes did blow hot and cold.

He was always happy to play in any cistern that his managers demanded.

Andy said that his plumbing career can wait as he doesn’t want to faucet and it’ll be a wrench to leave football when the time comes. His enthusiasm is overflowing, which he is trying to siphon off and pass on to his teammates. He is pleased that his skills are developing, notably his ability to trap a ball and control how he vents his emotions. He has a stack of experience to deploy and works well under pressure, however he considers that after football, plumbing will provide a pressure release valve, leaving him able to relax into retirement.

Can we stop with all this plumbing talk now please, it’s driving me round the U Bend

The thread has been flooded with puns.

That’s a UTS-trap for the unwary.

It will be a p t f e over-stretches himself.

Forgot to mention that he’s going to tighten up on his discipline to avoid going for an early bath.
