L 1-0 vs Harrogate Town (H) - League Two - Sat 11th Nov, 3pm

Comley was excellent? Can you tell me what he actually did today?

He wasn’t terrible by any stretch of the imagination. He was present, I’ll give him that. But he didn’t really do anything.

Is this where our standards have fallen to?

On the balance of play we didn’t deserve to lose.

Based on Sadlers selection and tactics - we absolutely did deserve to lose.

Numerous interceptions, good passing, lots of movement, had a shot blocked brilliantly in the first minute.

So who would you have selected?

Sephiroth92 take a bow your arrow hit bulls eye :clap:t2:

Stats for the game has him down as having one interception. That’s one more than I remember from the game.

Good passing is an actual joke. 5 yards sideways and backwards. Go look at his pass map.

And again, is our standards that low that we’re giving “excellent” ratings based off a blocked shot?!

It’s not his fault really because he was asked to play as an eight, which isn’t his role. Nothing against him.

Without being on the inside, who knows who was available on the terms of our owners. Sadler’s trial as caretaker was mediocre to say the least

It’s a bit of a moot point because I wouldn’t have signed these players.

But before the game I would have had DJ up top, Hutch in the ten and Maher out wide. McEntee in centre half.

Very risky that but our problem wasn’t in creating chances it was in converting them! 3 shots on target out of 20 odd tells the story.

I disagree. We weren’t creating chances, hence us resorting to long rangers and shooting into crowds.

How many chances did DJT or DJ have?

If there was a poll of all Walsall fans and not just UTS I would say at least 80% would say they never wanted Sadler. The reasons for that are as clear now as they were at the time.

I can assure you I could find better things to do than waste my time and money going to watch a team I want to fail just because I didn’t agree with who was appointed as manager. Especially a team I have followed all of my life. I assume most people are the same, there will always be a few who go overboard but the suggestion that Walsall fans want Walsall to fail is ridiculous, mainly they are just sick of us being rubbish I think.

I thought the booing at FT was a bit much and people do tend to think we have some divine right to beat Harrogate. Not for me, it wouldn’t surprise me if they finish above us to be honest.

No we don’t but I like the idea of a young Manager with a young squad. I accept it may not work but until the injury situation is better I think it is too early to judge.

I did say “a section”. I believe that is true.

Yes, the section that didn’t want Sadler is huge, which was always going to mean that there would be less patience. Whether that is right or wrong it is just the way it is.

If there really are people who want Walsall to lose to put another nail in Sadler’s coffin, I’d recommend they find something else to do. That can’t be good for the soul.

But, will he really have time to recover? If we’re on a point a game come Xmas, will the yanks be able to risk an unproven, and unsuccessful, manager the time?

Who knows?

@WalsallOne @CompletelySaddled i didn’t want Sadler.

But I didn’t want him to fail.

I think we need and deserve an impact manager. Whip us up in to shape get us out this league.

I tell you what is pathetic, subscribing to the idea that incremental progress is okay and acceptable at this football club - it’s not, not after the rubbish we’ve endured since Dean Smith left. Get someone in to do the job - can’t do it see you later.

A summer of work with this team - looked like the dog n duck most week playing up King Georges on a Sunday. It’s chaos. It’s rubbish.

Time for a change.

Cup Run would be good - and take a bit of pressure off.

A baffling comment. What did he do which was excellent ?

Not I’d think. A non league team can’t be in the plan. Take Draper out of this side and?
