L 1-0 vs Harrogate Town (H) - League Two - Sat 11th Nov, 3pm

Read my answer to Jonny!!

I’ve never seen a footballer put the ball straight out of play under zero pressure as much as Comley. Only did it once today but it’s normally two or three. Sub standard.

Depends where we are in the League but this is nowhere near a relegation team in my view.

There’s no basket case teams this year

Agree, the game totally passed him by but not his fault as he should never have been played in that position.
Daniels provided more attacking intent on the odd occasion he came out of defence with ball than either Comley or Mcentee did all game.

Yeah shots stat doesn’t tell the full story. We had two pot shots, the first of which would have been just as poor keeping as the goal we conceded if it had gone in.

I didn’t want Matt Sadler as manager and when it was announced it felt like a cheap option to me.
He is the manager for now and I’ll continue to support the club but I’d be lying if I said it’s looking good because in all honesty it looks increasingly like yet another drab season.
In fairness because of him being such an inexperienced choice he’s always going to get a rough ride in some quarters.

Funny how those who said we would struggle under Sadler were right.

The bloke doesn’t have a clue. Year on year we’ve gone backwards.

It’s just another season wasted - more than that, it’s another squad, another ounce of good will, another year. As a club we still don’t want to win - you can hear it in the voices of iFollow, right through to the managers comments and the players telling fans to F off.

Pick up a wage and go home FC.

The players are human beings you know? If I had given my all as they did today and I went to applaud the fans and got booed I might well have reacted like DD. A man who is a good captain and a fine man.

We’re in the second round, that is a cup run.

Reactions like that don’t happen at successful clubs.

This is something that’s always intrigued me…if not baffled me with football……

What is the fans obsession with whether players come over to applaud them or not?

What do fans think booing them when they do come over will achieve other than the players resenting them and choosing not to bother next time?

If you were a player and knew going over to the fans to applaud them was going to result in abuse, would you bother, or head down the tunnel with ā€œf*ck them thenā€ attitude?

As an aside from the game one thing we can all be proud of was how everyone in the ground observed the minutes silence for the fallen.
Millions of people we will never know but who we owe so much to.

FFS WTF is wrong with this team? How can we have a reported 24 attempts on goal against 7 and still lose one - nil? FFS.
I wasn’t following the game much as I was watching Diversity at the Swansea Arena all afternoon. A peek at the half time stats reassured me we could get at least one and that they couldn’t. F ING wrong again. FFS

Well said.

Unfortunately for sadler the stupid 4 weeks recruitment process just to hire the coach already at the club whos team failed in under 2 previous managers really didn’t help get the fans on his side when he started

Think a judgment will have to be made by Trivela on Sadler come Xmas do they stick with him or relocate him to a new mission in deepest dark Africa .

Probably because football is a unique industry. As a customer of any other business, be that restaurant, furniture, electrical goods etc etc. if you receive a substandard product you complain and receive a replacement or refund. With football what are your options, you can vote with your feet, but football clubs know most fans aren’t like that, it’s a captive audience so to speak. Or you can voice your displeasure at the final whistle.

Full on dogs abuse isn’t acceptable, but booing if you feel warranted, is well within a fans right given it’s the only real recourse they have. Unless Walsall FC are giving away refunds after poor performances, but I wouldn’t expect us to be around for long.

Personally how anyone muster the energy to boo after years of life sapping dull football is quite an achievement

Would have been interesting to know this before the kick off.

Yeah, who is Jan Soreson?
