Someone correct me if i’m wrong, but you can’t sign a pre-contract agreement with a club in the same National Football Association to which you’re currently registered. So Monthe could sign pre-contract terms for a Scottish side for instance, but as Wrexham play in the English pyramid as goverened by the same Football Association, would he not need to officially wait to be told his contract is not being renewed on the official lists at the close of the season.
Not saying clubs don’t try and do so unofficially, but as per the rules, he’d currently be unable to, right?
Indeed he did appoint Flynn , and the vast majority of fans where over the moon.
Whatever you think about LP as far as I know he doesn’t pick the team or takes training sessions or coaching or decides the tactics.
I feel that we must look at the players we have and think how best we can improve. White is an experienced defender full of skill and charisma. Labadie gets fan on there feet showing is passionate and loves art work, normally has to be given card by referees. Kinsella trains at a farm in spare time with headless chickens.
That’s not my opinion what I think should happen, it’s what I think will happen. Imo, Flynn seems to have got a pass til next season. However, he’s going to have to improve 100% in the transfer market and tactics moving forward to survive til October next season.

They are just rumours though. I also read someone say they had spoken to some of Monthe’s family at the game today and said he was staying at Walsall. I don’t know if either or neither is true, neither does anyone else.

I agree that’s the mangers job and on recent performances he’s not doing a great job and he was LP’s appointment .I think what he certainly deserves credit for is taking over the club from bonser .and bringing in new owners .reuniting the the ground back to Walsall fc .for that he deserves great credit .and we should all be grateful for that .what he is not good at and I think he has said as much is the overseeing of the football management of the club .hence his appointment of Jamie Fullarton another disaster .he has to be the guy who’s held responsible for what’s going on today and the recent results .all his appointments on the footballing side of things have not been a success .do we just blame Flynn .and let the same guy appoint the next manager .
My first season in 87/88 saw David Kelly leave at the end, I was devastated as a kid. Over the years saw Lightbourne, O’Connor, Houghton, Walker, Leitao, Dann, Fox, Deeney, Bradshaw, Grigg, Paterson etc etc leave, all payers that you were sad that you wouldn’t see them in a Walsall shirt again.
I can’t name a single player who if they left at the end of the season, fans would be unanimously disappointed to see leave, not one. To me that screams there is no real fan/team affiliation at the club, just a name to even get behind.
It’s the same answer I’m afraid , we almost all welcomed DC , Taylor, Fullerton as the second coming.
and it’s not the budget as I’ve said before none of the above including Flynn would have come here if there wasn’t a workable budget .
Personally, I’m not that bothered about Monthe going: for a big man, he’s poor in the air and also slow across the ground: we can’t play a flat back four with Monthe at centre-back. As for White: he’s terrible going forward and is always likely to give a goal away - we can do better! We need to try to just play the players who will be here next season from now till the end of the season.
Seeing a few tonight saying Flynn lost the dressing room weeks ago they reckon its come from our goalkeeping coach not sure but the lads saying it i know a few and they aint liars.

Of course we nearly all welcome the next manager appointment after a failure .we’ve now had four all appointed by LP .the fans don’t appoint the manager .the guy in charge does .all I’m saying is the responsibility for that has to be with LP.fans only disapprove or approve of the appointment.
