Forest Green should’ve beaten Wrexham in the week. Cotterill is a very good manager still and hugely experienced so I wouldn’t be shocked if he keeps them up in a similar great escape to 2011 here.
More I look at it one of those days. Missed chances, penalty miss and a red card all in the space of 20 minutes. Hope that’s all out of the system in one game in the run in.

I just wish the interviewer stopped providing answers for Mat within the questions asked. Please start asking testing questions the supporters want to hear answers to.

I’ll grant you that the interviewer isn’t the best, but what is it you would like to know about today that wouldn’t totally destroy the confidence of a young team that has been flying and on the wrong end of an unfortunate defeat?
These interviews really aren’t that important in the grand scheme of things. Mainly just deflecting anything negative, like almost every other manager.

Just the manager’s own words without being prompted all the time…simple really. I can’t see that destroying confidence unless Sadler drops an absolute clanger in the interview!

Can see what most are saying on here DJ may have took one of those chances who knows but the finishing and decision making in general today was poor that said i still think we should have won that game.Forest Green are where they are because they are poor they were there for the taking one of the worst teams I’ve seen this season and they’ll go down.Barrow are a much better version of Forest Green we need to learn from today quickly.

I do agree that the interviewer makes statements rather than asking questions, I’ve said this before. Sadler does seem to take over though and give his own thoughts.

I’m not sure how he would have got on with Chris Nicholl - RIP.

Why not ask questions like:
How did the players react to that in the dressing room?
Where are we at with the injured players?
How are you planning to change things for Tuesday?
Not difficult questions but slightly more probing to get a bit more understanding of what’s going on behind the scenes. Just seems so robotic these interviews compared to similar interviews with other managers at our level.

Who’s playing centre half on Tuesday now?

The interview was with a BBC man. It wasn’t with our own PR staff so if the questions weren’t right you cannot blame the club. I thought it was a fairly standard BBC after match interview.

Not blaming the club, just the interviewer for not essentially doing a great job. You may as well hand Sadler a script and say “just read from that” to most questions.
No we did a job on ourselves by not taking our chances.Very little to do with the Manager on either side.

He answers questions about injured players and their returns in his pre match interview pretty much every week.
Abit early for him to be discussing what he’s planning to do for a game in 3 days time, an hour after a match has finished without knowing the extent of potential injuries, probably for another two days.

go and listen to Mansfield post match interview and compare it ours. once you’ve seen 1 of ours you’ve seen them for the whole season.

Might have to be Comley if none of the other CB’s are back.

I’m not having a pop at Sadler here , just the interviewer.
Agree it may be a bit early to confirm team selection but you can still ask the question. Maybe a tactical change? My main point though is that the last couple of questions were pretty much answered in the question itself. Mat just confirmed what the interviewer said. What is the point of that. As a supporter I just want a bit more inquisitive questioning rather than just going through the motions every week. Surely that’s what the reporters are paid to do otherwise pretty much any Tom, Dick or Harry could do it!

That’s exactly what I’m comparing it to…brilliant direct, targeted questions and equally brilliant responses by Clough. You learnt more in that interview than all the interviews with Sadler this season so far.
I think he should tell everyone on social media exactly what he plans on changing for Tuesday including naming the team…I mean you may as well give Barrow a bit of extra help and let them know the tactics eh….
