L 2-0 vs Forest Green Rovers (A) - League Two - Sat 9th March, 3pm

One loss and we’re back to criticizing his post match interviews

Weird as they seemed really good when we were winning :face_with_monocle:

No specifics need to be mentioned, just an idea whether he is thinking of changing anything may help. Could be a double bluff of course. Again, no criticism of Sadler here…he can only answer the lame questions put to him!

Actually his interview with the Walsall PR guy is better than the BBC one but who cares? I just cannot understand why people get worked up about things like this.Anyway would you go to a back 4 on Tuesday or recall Menayese and stick with a 3?

Injury news is usually in the press conference 24 hours before the next match so there will be an update on Monday if Daniels or DJ are in any way close to a return. Has McEntee been ruled out for the season or is he due back soon?

Not sure the point of asking it straight after the game unless someone has been injured in the actual match.

I’d go to a 4 if I’m honest.

I think Foulkes would find life hard up against them much like Dave did in the first game……and would benefit from some help….

Stirk comley and earing in the middle with Hutch and Gordon off the sides and Faal up front…

Can’t remember if it was Westie who said it or whether it’s something i was told, but McEntee is ahead of schedule and is hoping to play in some part of the rest of this season.

Yeah terrible on the ball

Get him gone!

I think my point has been missed. My concern is not specifically about certain questions like injuries etc but about the way the questions are framed. It’s almost like the whole thing has been rehearsed in advance and they are just reading from a script. Same every week. Not a major issue in the grand scheme of things but surely this can be improved.

We would because he wouldn’t have been played

All things considered, that result doesn’t reflect the performance. It was always going to be a scrappy game but I felt first half we slightly edged it with not many chances for either team from what I can recall.

2nd half we looked a lot brighter and upped the tempo. Gordon needs to be scoring that, and can’t say I felt confident when he was though on goal.

Their first was just a long ball which I thought we dealt with ok. Could Foulkes have done more to block the shot? Maybe being critical as he had a very good game in fairness. On another day that shot hits the post and rolls to safety- shock it had to land perfectly for Paddy!

The pen wasn’t the worst but should’ve buried the rebound- wasn’t Hutch’s day today but games like this are tough for creative players IMO when there’s little space to operate in and they looked solid at the back tbf!

Never a pen for their second. I’d be worried if we lost and didn’t put a fight or create anything but that clearly wasn’t the case. It gives us an instant chance to show our resilience on Tuesday now!

If DD isn’t ready I’d look at maybe Comley to slot into Cb and Stirk cdm.

Not ideal but Stirk will have a point to prove and gives us a bit more attacking emphasis in midfield so might not be the worst thing to happen!

Tuesday is huge now! Looking forward to the challenge!

Good day out overall, found ourselves at the George inn pre match good beer and great views lovely little pub with loads of character. The trek to the match was somewhat challenging what i can only describe as a army assault course all uphill steep inclines through woods and shrubbery and nearly over someone’s backgarden at one stage.

The match… if it could have gone against us it did thought the performance was decent just lacked conviction in front of goal. We SHOULD have scored 4 goals and on any other day we would have.

We move on hopefully the confidence hasn’t took too much of a beating.

Bring on Barrow

Nobody claimed such nonsense

The winning run of any team eventually comes to an end and today that’s what happened to us.
What’s frustrating is the Gordon wasted opportunity and twice Hutchinson having golden chances and fluffing his lines.
When hutch is on form he’s a game changer but when he is like he was today he’d benefit from being taken off.
How anyone could give a penalty leading them to go 2 nil I’ll never understand because Smith got both hands on the ball and took a kick in the head for his trouble. A bad day at the office but we go again Tuesday night and let’s hope we can put today behind us.

It wasn’t missed just some posters trying to be arseholes.

What’s asking Sadler some decent questions got to do with giving barrow our game plan? He’s just being a prat

There really is no need to panic is there. Its a crap result nothing more. We didnt even play badly. thats football for ya.

Just seen the Hutchinson penalty.

Jeez. :man_facepalming:

The penalty was just fine…it was helluva save….

The rebound he snatched at - probably at the shock of missing - and hit too early or too late while it was still bouncing up and was too high to have hit when he did.

Missing chances will always remain one of footballs mysteries much like Haaland sticking one over the bar from a yard last week….you won’t ever hear top managers being critical of that cos they understand it’s just unexplainable.

They were literally just questioning the lost match interviews and how Sadler answers the questions blandly :rofl::rofl:

What a stupid comment

Composure is everything in football. Meh, he tried to hit it too quick under pressure.

Im more bothered about the Gordon attempt.
