I was pleased to see the Coach take responsibility for the performance. He was to blame for the 3 at the back and for the selection of the team. Bringing on a clearly unfit player was also not good and added to our problems.
Like a poster above it is time to give Leak a game at the back and Perry a game in midfield with Willock and Maher on the bench. I would also like to know why Kiernan cannot get a game 5 goals and 5 assists puts him ahead of some others who play more often. UTS
Completely abject today.
Ball retention was awful, we weren’t brave enough in possession, but worst of all; we just didn’t look interested.
Very disappointed with Rodney. He should be up to speed now. I just can’t see what he brings.
He’s been doing it for weeks Sid, just gets an easy ride because he’s the best of a bad bunch.
Anyone think the Tomlin sub was a bit of a panic move and a bit too early?
I felt today, the players had been told the release list and the performance probably proved that.
We won’t see Tomlin before the end of the season now and hopefully we don’t waste money on a wage for him next season yes he has flashes of brilliance but I’d rather us spend a yearly wage on a young player that’s going to play every week than on an old one who won’t play, just look at what Ward has produced this season absolutely Jack ![]()
He had clearly lost his head with Menayese.
I can’t wait for next season. Mainly because I know I won’t have to see most of these players in a Walsall shirt again.
My highlight of the day was pre match when Rushworth was practising his kicking out of his hands. He wholloped one straight at Osadebe, with the whole squad finding it hilarious.
Perhaps Monthe could have passed it to a midfielder if he didn’t take 4 or 5 touches of the ball before passing it. He doesn’t have a footballing brain and is therefore ponderous and slow in speed of thought. A number of time Earring asked for it off him, there were countless times he could have just passed it to Shade. By the time he had got round to thinking about it the option was gone.
Spot on and it comes across as if he thinks his strength will get him out of trouble far too often. It’s like he thinks I can take all day because they won’t get it off me.And why do we have Labadie higher up the pitch than the more attack minded Earing?
Well if that IS the case then it is very poor management
No chance will that be the case.
What is frightening is the massive drop in form of Rollin. Looked head and shoulders our best defender previously, signs a permanent deal and suddenly wouldn’t get a game at the All Priests Over 75 5 a side match from Father Ted. Worrying - perhaps Mansfield weren’t as daft as I thought.
Huge indicator though isn’t it, a player that can’t get into another league 2 team. Add Mills and Kiernan our recruitment has been desperate.
That was dire all round.
Whilst we were questioning Clough’s decision, being willing to let Menayese leave their club, earlier in the season, I can understand it now.
Best player for me was Zak Mills.
Where’s Ash Taylor when you need him?!!
Mills gave me a stomach ulcer watching him try and “defend” away at Tranmere. Hasn’t got much better for him (or my stomach)
I heard a bloke say after the game “that was as bad as anything in the past six years” and it is hard to disagree. We made Orient look like promotion material.
Live on BBC Scotland last night.
Plenty of people calling for players to be dropped for not performing but regard Kinsella as a fixture. I cannot see what he actually constructively contributes to the team. Give me Perry every day of the week including the eighth day - we’re going nowhere with him as part of the team just because he runs around a lot.
