700 sold in advance, so maybe 900 which is phenomenal!

Wow that really is impressive considering. I thought 500 max. Should be good.

Cash only for those planning to buy tickets at the ground tomorrow.

1-0 to the Saddlers just so our record is W8 D8 L8 GD0 because that sort of record sums this group of players up perfectly.

Going with my Mansfield born father-in-law tomorrow and sitting with the home fans. We better win this.

Well that’s clinched it then, Matt has said we are going to “use their confidence [from winning 8 out of 9 games] to our advantage”
I’m definately going now…see you there :+1:

You see, Matt totally understands Walsall F.C. He knows the Walsall way, and knows the three points are in the bag. We have been 15th for long enough, time we made a move back to the heady heights of twelfth.

Shocked that a defender hasn’t come in, guess that’s another 3 points we’re happy to surrender :man_facepalming:

See you all there.

Same defensive options available as last week so go the same way tomorrow or change it round?

Baffled by why Leak hasn’t been given more game time this season, or only at RB rather than CH when he has. Looked steady enough when he was used there towards the back end of last season, so has his development gone backwards?

Khan didn’t set the world on fire at no. 10 last week. MT has played him at both RB and LB in Papa John games, so a fill in for there if White is preferred at CH again (either direct or swap for Ward)?

Mills in some capacity again, or bring Sadler back into the mix?

A bit off the wall but how about Labadie to drop back to CH and Kinsella to partner Earing? Or even Kinsella at RB to whip a certain poster on here into a frenzy?

And while we’re at it, Rushworth didn’t cover himself in glory last week so is it time for Rose to be given a run?

I’d go 3 at the back - the 4-2-3-1 formation just doesn’t work for us with the players we have. I’d go:

Rushworth - White (or Leak), Menayese, Ward - Khan, Labadie, Kinsella, Kiernan - Earing - Wilkinson, Miller.

Subs: Rose, Mills, Leak (or White), Osadebe, Phillips, Shade, Willock

Why not try it, Matt? It might just work and might surprise Mansfield. What have we got to lose?

On the strength of that unquestionable evidence I’m lumping on at 23/10 with Skybet - can’t lose!

The more I look at it I think that season is over already. We are half way though the season and I would guess need another 46 points to get to 75 points, which I would have thought is the minimum we need to make the play-offs with any degree of certainty. Looking at it crudely that’s 15 wins and a draw out of the last 23 games!!! Can any of you actually see us putting a run like that together with this squad, even if we sign the likes of Miller and Khan on permanent deals?

I am somewhat disappointed that another centre half hasn’t come in today with the knowledge that Taylor was going out the door. That would taken a couple of days to agree I would have thought? What ever people think of him we are still weaker as a squad without him.

I am fed up asking what the hell is happening about another striker. It isn’t as if it’s an area of the squad that has just raised its head. This has been a major cause for concern since the start of the season and hasn’t been adequately addressed at all. Same with the LB position.

We have consistently shown this season so far that we are too inconsistent to put that sort of a run together. I am sure that Cloughie will be out for a bit of revenge tomorrow and I can only see another footballing lesson being dished out to us So that will leave us with needing 45 points from 22 games. Not impossible I know but miracles don’t happen that often at the Bonks’s!!!

And me

No one new signed, probably too late to register a new player too, so an experimental defence lineup. First thought, harsh spanking, but who knows, maybe pitch won’t pass inspection and the game will be called off.

No, I can’t! And I hope we don’t sign Miller - no better than Gordon or Lavery. Another unfulfilling, crap season rolls by with absolutely no progress made. Shocking!
