I have to say I took encouragement from Flynns interview when he said we need to kick on and continue the feel good factor around the club.To me that comes across like he has targets and will be backed some what to get them.Why can’t we be as competitive in the market as the likes of Stockport and now Gillingham will be?

Ive always said it hes shocking for his height. The other two are poor as well hence no goals when we have our numerous corners free kicks. Our two smallest players Kins and Bennett are far superior in the air.
From reading through and being part of the match thread, it’s everyone who played yesterday!!
I wonder who Flynn thought his 7/8 not at the races were and which 3/4 that leaves who did okay. Evans for me would obviously be one, although not sure who else had a ‘good’ game tbh.

Yeah thought everyone was pretty poor to be honest, with some even worse than others. Not sure I could pick out 4 good performances with a gun to my head.

A different view of last night. The team spirit did not seem to me to be as high as in recent matches. Maybe that was because they have realised that Bennett and possibly Johnson will not be with them for much longer?
I thought Daniel and Monthe had a difficult evening, but they battled throughout.
They weren’t bad, but sometimes you come up against good players.
I’d give them both 6.
Not sure what Wilkinson and DJT did to merit 5, both made a minimal contribution.
We had a nice embrace too - with Saigon, Mr Poo Poo and Mr Gaz. It was a wonderful moment.

Couldn’t make it to the game, full of flu so watched on iFollow. Stockport were the better team and we weren’t on it.
Thought Bardsley looked class for them, think that’s why Flynn subbed Gordon off and switched Bennett across.
Doesn’t all of a sudden make us rubbish.

At the debrief this afternoon we all agreed this was probably one game too far in our fabulous recent run and all good runs have to come to an end at one time. Too many players not quite on it aligned to playing a high quality League 2 outfit was a recipe for trouble. We were all unanimous in choosing Evans as our player of the match. Players seemed a little leggy and the atmosphere was somewhat subdued after the sad news about Pele.
Now time to start another good run to commence 2023 and Mansfield should be on their guard for our backlash.

As many others have said that was a good barometer for what’s needed to get out of the 4th division.
