Rain forecast to stop around 3pm today…no more in forecast until after the game.If correct game should be on unless the referee fancies a paid afternoon off!!!

I know as a Saddlers fan “in never rains, it pours” but let’s stay positive that this one will be on and BB gets the chance to see that Sadler still hasn’t got a “scooby do” … maybe, just maybe because the boss is in the stands, he may remember he has 7 blokes sat behind him desperate to avoid splinters in their arses !

No pitch inspection planned…

So that when he brings them on you can say he killed the game, used the wrong players, ignored his strengths or generally messed things up?

Fill your boots, bud. Someone’s our manager and it ain’t you!

Whatever.
Same applies as before the postponed Morecombe game, as I posted on the Sadler out the other week.

And add in the draw at Gills still as follows.

As usual when we don’t play suddenly everything’s shite.

That would be a disaster for @superjorge liver…

The weather forecast has improved. No more rain before the final whistle.

What really affects games is when there is heavy rain building up to kick-off. This one will go ahead.

Fully agree Dave, we will have to be at or near our best if we are to take away 3 priceless points from this fixture. Still would be astonished if the game goes ahead, pretty much relentless rain around the region for more than 24 hours now and the ground was already saturated for Tuesdays fixture to be called off.

I do hope the game isn’t postponed. Is it only a week since we played Gillingham?
If the ground staff know the away goal mouth is a problem area of the pitch, why aren’t they doing more to protect it? Especially when they know the owner is in town
As we know it’s totally the refs call, lets hope there’s a little common sense thrown in for good measure.

Wouldn’t make a scrap of difference. :beer::beer:

Hope the rain in Walsall has been a little less energetic than it has in Cheshire…has just stopped raining after what must have been constant since Monday, my garage has flooded, never happed before in the past 9 years!

Desmond …… 2 - 2

Interesting to see Notts County currently losing 1 3 at home to Gillingham, a team we slaughtered at our place and who we outplayed at theirs.
If we hit top form tomorrow we should be able to dispatch Newport.

That point we got last week isn’t a bad one has it is

I thought Gillingham were the worst team we’ve played this season, no idea how they’re 7th

A draw would have been the preferable result tonight in terms of the points target for those clubs chasing seventh place in the table.

Two points lost if you read the match thread

1 point gained if you read many of the pre-match predictions.

Another six pointer tomorrow in quest for glory.

A must win to take over us the 40 point mark and to keep the gap to 7th within reach.

Newport are on a roll top of the current form table (last six games) so let’s go overboard if we aren’t 3-0 up in the first twenty minutes.

Anyway a close 2-1 victory

We’ve got this
