We’ve had a good run granted, but we desperately needed it.
Until we find some consistency, we’re going nowhere.

Good first half performance but we fell away second half. To be fair I think Stockport really played well second half and deserved the win. Jackson Smith and Tommy Knowles our best players for me. Didn’t think any of our strike partnerships worked and we miss a target man. Good to see DJT score though. Not surprised by the result tbh. Let’s win the next two home games and get the promo push back on track. UTS.
Like you said mate time to give them the benefit of doubt with the form of late. Sounds like we we’re slightly passive today, but fingers crossed for a more positive performance next week. A RWB of quality in this system is a must and I’d love a Ryan Woods type of player who can control the tempo of the game… an Adam Chambers type. If i was being greedy another forward of a freddie type of stature would be fantastic!!
Wished we had come away with something, i thought that we started the second half well, but THEY had the quality and ability to step up a gear
There were too many bad omens to gain something from this game, but this was only one game and nothing more. February results will decide where we are going, so for now the waiting game. Only I’m happy DJT scored. It should help his confidence.
I did notice .Have to agree with your post though we were very passive and we just don’t have enough of the ball during games. We’ve been on a good run and it was an exceptional festive period but today we made defensive mistakes, we didn’t win enough 50/50 bouncing balls, we made the wrong decisions when we did have the ball.Listen it happens we all know that but it’s just the fact that it seems to be the same old repetitive theme of getting within touching distance then fade away for another month. These were massively injury hit today and I know they are top but they haven’t been picking up points of late and if ever you wanted to play the side top of the league away from home it was today.
“No consistency” , “depressing”, “Sadler needs to get us back on track”
Last 7 league games…won 5, lost 2, scored 16, conceded 8.
DJT…“ineffective”…2 goals in last 2 games
You say that but the year we came down Leyton Orient got promoted back into the league. Now in League one.
Stockport and Wrexham with good potential to go up this season have been the promoted teams in the last 2 seasons.
Barrow won the NL in 19/20, now sitting in 4th and building off last season.
Chesterfield waiting in the wings this season to come up from the NL.
We can take the view that Stockport and Wrexham getting promoted will be good for us, but they are only replaced by other clubs with momentum.
Welcome back Thanatos.
That’s comment of the day for me, I can’t even resist not making a comeback for that one
They were too good for us today, two set pieces and a rocket sealed our fate.
The midfield and DJ were completely shut out and what few attacks we did have nothing came of them.
Kind of a momentum killer the last two away games, most pundits would have bet home wins.
Disappointing really, but we have to dust ourselves off and give it a good go for the remainder of the season.
He’s frustrating more often than not but pretty much everything good that we did came from his side today and some of his touches out of the air were really good.So I agree with that post mate he was one of our better performers on the day.
Yes I agree but the two clubs mentioned spending is far superior to any others not seen at this level before really. More even next season hopefully.
I had forgotten about Chesterfield in fairness.
Just saying…
Knowles and Gordon cost us the loss today! We have a few home games coming up so hopefully we can get back on track!
Southampton may have had an effect also manager of the month award curse! I totally had a feeling we’d lose
Huge shame the season isn’t played over 7 games.
Or maybe they were just better?
Pe teacher out
Bit harsh not their fault they can only teach gym
Well he will be missing the next 2 games.10th booking today apparently. Actually I think we will miss him . He gets us up the pitch and although he is frustrating he causes problems by his pace.
