L 3-1 vs Stockport County (A) - League Two - Sat 13th Jan, 3pm

Very true about opinions , he did give away a cheap free kick but thats part and parcel it happens sometimes that the other team get a flukey goal

I fully trust Salford will not spend wisely to be honest. They look very near having a car crash of a season. As much as I dislike him though Karl Robinson is a great appointment for them.

Yeah no doom and gloom for the most part from me. Result roughly sums up where we are currently pretty well. Stockport a very good team who should go up.

A long way to go till we’re battling for the top 7, but at the same time Sadler’s recent changes and adjustments have improved us greatly and we do look like a functioning team with a quasi-identity now.

What a simple and brilliant post :clap:t2:you really don’t have to be a football genius tactically aware fan on here do you :+1:

Don’t know if its been mentioned but only ground where not enough seating for the away following got to be a safety issue surely

Just on the way back. The lads all battled, but Stockport’s overall quality eventually told. I actually thought Knowles had a decent game today, a couple of decent shots on target and got round his man a few times.

Chance for a bit of a reset now with games against teams near us in the table.

Gensanx, careful fella someone else is moving in on your turf. :eyes:

His performances are awful and you cannot ignore his shortcomings. He has been largely invisible in the last 3 games and a goal here and there should not be allowed to mask that. I appreciate that goals matter so what I am trying to highlight is imo he offers too little to be selected on a regular basis

Dont worry he runs around a lot so Sadler will keep playing him i thought him and DJ were both poor today so I’m not picking on him either.

Both stockports and walsall’s strikers were poor today wasnt a game for strikers it was won and lost in midfield

Few days ago I posted our form and Stockport’s over last 10 game ie . Walsall form 6W.3L.1D.
Stockport form 2W.L3.5D People were saying Stockport going through a bad spell and our form was good .id say if Stockport were going through a bad spell those results those past 10 games say to me good side promotion.that’s exactly the sort of string of results you need to put together for a promotion challenge .we are a mile of that at present .when we’re not on it we lose .

Thought we did ok and pleased djt scored.

Not many teams will pick up points there so I don’t think we have lost ground.

Win 3 out of next 4 and we will definately have skin in the game.

Mat loves the word ‘positives’ doesn’t he?

He does but I’d personally want to hear that as a player instead of you’ll be stacking shelves next week.

Well done to those who went.

For me, that’s the two “free hits” done. If this is going to be anything more than the usual Walsall fizzle out then with four of the next five at home against very average opposition we need to be back right at it next Saturday.

Hopefully another signing or two and a couple working their way back from injury should have us in good nick.

Overwhelming message of optimism, maybe a little forced but I get it. Love how Heslop set him up to praise the fans and he kind of just glossed over it  Doesn’t do well with the hints

Anyone on this site still think DJ should start? His performances over the last 12 months (for us and Mansfield) have been woeful. An overweight Josh Gordon showed more speed and commitment!
Worrying that Matt is now our most important forward.
So disappointing too that Maher is getting so few opportunities even when the game is crying out for a creative player.

I don’t think he’s very likeable. Which doesn’t matter a jot if he gets the job done.

I see a definite Gareth Southgate influence.
