L 3-2 vs Shrewsbury Town (A) - BSM Trophy Group Stage - Tue 14th Nov, 7pm

Our team looks much better when we go forward. Must have had 70% possession tonight.
We have a very soft underbelly though. The salop seemed to score with every opportunity which is a real worry .
Pluses tonight another step forward to fitness for meyenase . Mayer looks a lot more comfortable and confident since his loan spell.

Unless we get a settled and fit defence we wont improve
Yes,we need a rwb but Gordon, Priest and Daniels are our best defenders and all missing tonight.
Rollin isnt match fit and did well to play 90 mins,Daves ok as back up
We have so many injured, we need them back asap and i believe a settled 11 will be a decent team

I know this is a ridiculous suggestion but maybe you could both address each others points :joy:

I can’t really address them.

I can’t really deny much of it and I know for certain that he won’t want to hear any context, reasoning or balance so I’ll just agree :+1:

That’s a fair summary I’m starting to think it might have been a better idea leaving RAM at Rushall at least until January he still doesn’t quite look ready for league 2 for me.

You don’t think that Sadler has made ANOTHER poor tactical decision do you mate? :flushed:

Poetry in motion at times.

Really disappointed with Knowles i had high hopes for him when he first joined but he lacks any kind of end product and the manner he conducts himself on pitch is embarrassing at times, hes a likable fella but i just dont see any progression.

I would much rather we developed Maher instead of persisting with Knowles.

It’s not saying a lot, but, ready for League 2 or not, RAM is already much better than Knowles on the left.

The bloke has no self respect
And i can honestly say i don’t think i have ever been as embarrassed at times, of any player in a Walsall shirt

Knowles is becoming less and less likable as the weeks pass

Rushall drew 1-1 with Alfreton. So that means we’re well and truly set up for a fall :joy:

Wise words from Sadler, lets hope the players take it on board.

His regression over the past couple of months is alarming.

This team has a very long way to go before it is capable of keeping clean sheets on a frequent basis.

To be fair to Knowles he put in some good corners and laid on the goal for Hutchinson but he owed us that after the free kick he gave away for their second goal. He has some good natural attributes but his antics let him down.

At last some realism from the manager frustration good assessment best interview yet .certainly not throwing anybody under the bus :joy:but pretty annoyed for him and good thing too hopefully gave it to the players in private .

In fairness, he did have a fairly decent game this evening, however I just feel he is no where near as effective/ dangerous as he was last season.

As you say, all the nonsense is getting a bit ridiculous now. It’s certainly not very Walsall.
